I get up ...drive out to the farm I hunt ..... load up the LW SC and evertyhing else ...take the long walk back to an area 60 yards away from where I have sat most of the time ...... climb up ...set everything up ....pull up bow ... nock arrow .... go to grab my release from my front pocket ....not there  ...

I check everything 20x ...nuttin  I think, "I left it in the car" ....walk all the way back and search the car like a drug agent looking for some heroin .... nuttin :( "I lost it", I thought ....walk all the way back to my spot, searching as I go ...climb the tree and research everything 20 more times ....Nuttin...

Walked all the way back and then to the spot across the street that I hunted last night ..nuttin...

My only hope was that it somehow fell out as I got out of my car at home last night .. I drive all the way home ..search the driveway and the lawn next to it ... nuttin

Go in the house ...look out the front window ..notice something that looked like something from the road (they are working on the lines, tearing up the street) on the front lawn to the left .... decode to go check around the car again ....take a quick glance ate the "tar paper" and I see that it is my release :)

but now I dont feel like goin back out today ....:(

Yeah that sinks. I did that one time many years ago, never found it. Ever since, its either strapped around the handle of my bow, or on my arm. Good luck pt...

Oh, and I DO have a spare, but haven't ever needed it since.

I don't carry a spare ( I have one though) but when my release comes off of my wrist it is buckled around the grip on my bow. Where the bow goes, so does the release. Now, if you are 500 yards down the road, going over your mental checklist and remember that you haven't put the bow or your arrows in the car yet, then the release around the grip won't matter LOL. Fortunately, it was only a 500 yards oops and not a 20 mile oops.

I always clip it to the bow string when I'm finished and it the bow goes in the case. When I go hunting again, the bow comes out of the case and there it is! It's like magic PT, my release is always with the bow!!! Now, if I can keep from locking my keys in the truck with the bow in the cab, I'm golden!
