Can't imagine hearing that in the dark, especially if you didn't know what it was.

I have a pod of sasquatches that pass through and live on my creek every so often, maybe once every five years. Those things make some noises that'll make you need to change your drawers. I was collecting walnut sap one foggy morning this spring and one of them let out a scream down the creek from me a few hundred yards. I was watching back over my shoulder all the way to the house and for three days afterwards.

A rabbit in distress sounds like a baby dying.

I've actually heard that before. In the dark, sitting in a short 8' open tower blind. That sounds came from about 50 yards away or less. Scared that absolute **** out of me. Just at daylight I heard noises coming from the same area and saw three bobcat kittens that were catching a mouse, then letting it go, and re-catching it. All I can think of was that momma was teaching her kittens how to hunt and they needed a little motivation.

Got into my tree stand well before dark, tied in and shut my eyes right as I was dozing off I heard what sounded like something that guards hells gates. It was 2 coons going at it. If I wouldn’t have been tied off I think I might have fallen out of my stand.

Sounds like two women on black Friday fighting for the last whatever on the shelf..

Screech owl, if you have ever heard one at o'dark thirty you know what I am talking about.

About ten years ago.. I had been out moving round bales and saw a doe clear a fence at warp speed and then saw the reason why. She had a mountain lion not too far behind her. Once she hit wide open ground she was gone. The mountain lion noticed me noticing him and he made tracks. I thought to myself wow how cool is that until the next morning when I was walking out to my stand in the dark with nothing more than my bow. About halfway there I started freaking myself out with thoughts of what if's concerning that mountian lion. It was right at that moment I flushed a pheasant by damn near stepping on him. To this day my neighbor out there tells the story of sitting in his stand and hearing one lone pheasant and a stream of profanities the likes of which he has never heard before or again.

Various neighbors in western Oklahoma buy them to release and hunt in October.

Walking back to the car in the dark after an afternoon sit and a pack of coyotes start howling what sounded like 50 yards away. I literally froze with fear they were so close/loud (I don't carry a pistol or anything).

Wow! I didn't know the video was showing the same thing I mentioned. I heard that sound once and chills went down my back. I had my hand on the trigger of my .45 all the way to the truck.
