Looking for some help on bow hunting a WMA in western Oklahoma. I have been looking at Black Kettle, Packsaddle, Sandy Sanders & Hal & Fern Cooper. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Black Kettle is pretty unique. Ive hunted it a few times when I was younger. Spring Creek is where I really enjoyed camping and the hunting is good. Wind can be a little tricky with the terrain. I took a pretty nice 8 point late October on my second day of a three day hunt. Place is amazing and you can cover some ground without running into people. Screenshot_20210801-184829_Drive.jpg

I'm giving the Sandhills a try this year. Fairly new and a friend did well there last year.

Okiebob I appreciate your answers. I recently moved to the panhandle and No public to hunt in TX. I was born and raised in MS used to sitting high in a tree to hunt. It seems this may be a bit different plan on scouting some this week.

It is more spot and stalk or ground blinds in western Oklahoma but the occasional stand of cottonwood can prove useful.
