Man it was bad ass! LP beat it up.... We had a blast (my brother, his girlfriend, my wife and I).... They are pretty intense in concert, They opened the show with "What I've done" and ended with Chester going nuts with "One step closer".... SHUT UP WHEN I AM TALKING TO YOU!!!! HAHA... They were on stage for 2 hours, most all of the opening acts were on stage from 45 minutes to an hour. All the opening bands were pretty good as well... Hawthorn Heights, 10 Years, The Bravery, Atreyu, Chris Cornell and the biggest surprise of the day was the band Street Drum Corps... They were pretty sweet.... A couple of the bands slated for the show were not there though. Chris Cornell didn't disappoint either, he put on a good show as well. Any LP fans who did not make the Revolution tour did yourself a disservice. :d
2 Hours is pretty damn long for a band like that bro. They had to put the whoopass on. Hawthorn Heights all wear matching outfits? Seen them on another tour 2-3 years ago.
You know, I am not sure if they were or not... I have no idea how Chester can scream and yell like that for so long.....
Did Chris Cornell do Audioslave/ Soundgarden material, or just his solo stuff? I would imagine not to many have actually heard his solo stuff.
Awesome. I went to their concert a few years back... back when they just released their 1st album. I agree, it was pretty sweet
I still enjoy a Linkin Park tune every now and again, but its just not the same as it was back in the day. I remember seeing them at the House of Blues in Chicago around 99 or 00 before they hit the bigtime. The place was about 1/2 full and they put on a KILLER show. I actually think I snuck a FILM camera into the show and snapped some photos. I'll see if I can dig them up and scan them in. Being able to be right up next to the stage at small shows is hands down 1,000,000 times better than big arena shows. Before that show at HOB, I saw LP open for P.O.D. around the Fundamental Elements of Southtown days, which was also great. They're a little bit more mainstream now and I don't like having to put up with all the 14 year old girls at their shows, but Chester can still sing/scream like nobody's business. I'm hoping Mudvayne and Killswitch Engage come back to town soon when they're done with their new albums. Since Machine Head is touring w/Metallica all winter it will probably be next year before I see them in a small venue again.
How is the Killswitch other than the holy diver cover, that is all I have heard? I would be all over a Mudvayne concert.
Rock on Ohio I was wanting to catch three doors down and sether when they were touring local but didnt make it
KSE is one of my top 5 bands for sure. I was a fan back in the Jesse days when their first album Alive or Just Breathing came out, but Howard has done a great job since he took over. The first album was a lot harder and had some better drumming IMO. If you like the Holy Diver cover you'll probably like the last album As Daylight Dies. It's probably the most commercially accessible of the three albums. If you have Guitar Hero III they have a song in the extra bonus section. My Curse. Song from the first album w/their first singer- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zkxDeFRat8 Second album (1st with "new" singer Howard) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFQAWdRRChk And one from the latest album - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxJAiV-YF3Q
I knew I should have went when they hit the burgh here. I went to so many concerts this summer and skip that one.
I guess I'm jaded Buckeye, having been in the music business for the past 24 years and touring with or doing shows with just about every band out there, it takes a lot to impress me! To each his own, I'm glad you had a good time! By the way yes I love Pink Floyd, some of the guys are good friends of mine! Here is a pic of Wayne(The Flaming Lips ), Jeff Hamilton(The Violent Femmes), **** Perry(PINK FLOYD) and myself enjoying a few pints after a gig in Kilkenny Ireland when we played there with Bob Dylan! Good Times! What the hell, heres another... myself and **** Perry from Pink Floyd, you might recognize the background, some where in Greece!!!
I saw KSE at Rock on the Range a couple months back, and they are VERY intense Scott, were you there? I can't imagine you missing a line up like that
Dude I live less than a mile from the stadium and had 4 all access passes. . . coulda taken care of you. Next year, you know
