So I grabbed my bow to do some shooting today. Shot 2 arrows and drilled them both. Drew back the third time and triggered my release and nothing happened for about 2 or 3 seconds and then the arrow suddenly flew! Tried it again and the same thing happened. My release is malfunctioning and there is a "delay" in it where the jaws don't open right up (I guess?). Really strange feeling hitting your release, expecting the arrow to go flying and nothing happens. Pretty good training aid actually because I noticed myself moving a little during the delay. Just glad it didnt' happen with a 140" buck 20 yards in front of me.:p:eek::eek:

    Sounds like a flintlock release.

Should be fun, shooting that one!

    Not any flintlock of mine!

I guess it's better than the opposite happening where the release goes off at half draw and you take one square on the chin!
