Well it appears what I have dreaded is unstoppable now.

So I lost my old barn cat earlier this summer and replaced him with a couple of cats, I watched the young tom cat stalk the turkeys in the front yard and the dang cat actually pounced on the adult turkey. The turkey took off and the cat fell to the ground, dang cat has more balls than brains and needs to learn to pick better fights.

Tamed turkey are easy to deal with. Oven roasted turkey and turkey jerky are fantastic. I can't believe anyone would qualify turkeys as a concern.

Herons hitting koi, eliminate the shallow water in your koi pond.

I use fishline above the koi pond to keep the heron out, I hope the cat continues to make the turkeys feel unwelcome.

I am a buddhist for the most part I won't kill to kill normally yet I butcher and kill or catch a lot of the meat we eat. I will buy a turkey tag and the first turkey I see while waiting for deer I am going to shoot. I will either grind it or bring it to wisconsin deer camp and bake it.

Well the turkeys won round two this morning with the cat, they were not having the staking behavior from the cat and went on the defensive as soon as the cat got close, they treed the cat I thought the cat was going to turn the tables and drop from the tree onto the turkey but no I think the ride the turkey gave the cat the other day stuck in his mind.

Herons are protected in NY can't shoot them. They are a dime a dozen though.
