Cool, better than the classroom I would think. I wish I was that close to real history. They gave Schultzy and I Kathleen Soliah, aka Sarah Olson.

Sounds like a great trip. I was just talking to a friend today about going on some trips to see some historical sites.

Thats awesome, wish they did field trips like that when I was in school.. Along with your Bowhunting World, you should bring some headphones to listen to music. It could definitely come in handy for a 14 hour ride with a bus full of teenagers :d

Can you say Tylenol PM for the ride home (I wouldn't care if the kids were feeling each other and looking at Playboy's after 14 hours!). :) Landon, when I was teaching I took an ED/BD class to the National Air and Space Museum....I remember kids trying to climb out on the wires and getting into model planes 100 feet off the ground! I wanted to strangle some of them, yet it was hillarious. I also remember one of the crazier kids asking me a question on another field trip...his question was, "hey, do you the capital of Thailand?". I said "no". He said, "Bangkok!" and then tried to slap me in the groin! hahahahahahaha!

well all 600 of us made it back...by the way it was not a 14 hr ride, it was a 2 hr drive but a 14 hr day with the kids...I would NOT do a 14 hr ride with them, hell I won't do that with my own...It was a good trip and I have not seen the capitol in a few yrs..it is amazing to look at that oval office and know that it is what drives our nation and be so close to me everyday.

O haha, I misread.. Sounds like you all had a good trip, definitely a lot of history and cool things to check out. I've only been there once. I've often thought it would be cool to go back in time and see what the capital looked like during the civil war era.

Wow, that is great. I also just returned from D.C. I went with the Student Government Association at UW Waukehsa. We went and taked to Jim Sensenbrenner about affordable education and the Dream Act (against it). We then spent a full day touring the capitol. It is fantastic and exciting. We also went to the war memorials as well as the capitol building and we got to sit in the gallery and watch the House debate a proposed bill. I think is great that you were able to take so many children to DC.
