    Great looking buck Covey. It's always a relief when they show back up after being gone so long. I kind of feel the same way as you about killing some old bucks. As much as I'd like to shoot one, I hate to see them gone.

    Yeah but with the age restrictions on a large part of my properties being 5.5 and up I guess a person is going to have to buck up and deal with it. They aren't ever actually gone if they are hanging on the wall I guess. They regress and then die anyway, I don't know that a person should be so sentimental about it.

    I think with me it's more the planning and effort that went into hunting a certain buck that I miss. But it doesn't bother me so much that I won't shoot. I get over the sadness rather quickly.
