    She's a sweet shooter, sb!

I just unboxed mine a few days ago and I've heard people complain about the lines on the Iceman ... and to each his own, but I think she's got some of the prettiest lines in the business. Something about that one-piece riser geometry leading to the center pivot... minimalistic yet does everything the first generation CPs did...

And with the DFC of a single cam that some prefer.... it's the ultimate single-cam bow to me.

Pretty simple this year, Ben... I've got my '08 BowTech Ally that I'll always have... as well as the BlackOps D340 and the IceMan FLX right now.

I've got a special D340 coming in later ;) and I MIGHT get a Sentinel FLX later to shoot a few 3D shoots with, but I'm not sure right now. I just don't shoot enough 3D to really warrant it; what shoots I do hit are mostly good-spirited fun with a few of my board buddies who live around here and I think I'll take one of my D340s anyway just to get that much more "drive time" with her before taking them up in the Colorado mountains chasing elk in September.

Nice. I have the 340 Black Ops coming, and a Sentinel FLX in Optifade Forest. I am excited for both, but am starting to get a bit more anxious for the Sentinel as of late.

    Southern boy,

Just purchased the iceman mid season 09. It was one of those things were I shot it and had to have it. I shot every bow out there and this one was just above them all IMO. I think it's the best single cam ever made. You should look into getting the Octaine Quiver for it, it really looks sharp and it holds really tight to the side of your bow. Good luck and can't wait to see the pics.

What do you mean by people don't like the lines? Don't get it.

    Iceman

Great purchase. The iceman was #2 on my list before I shot the DXT. It is one sweet looking bow that has amazing performance. It is also extremely quiet, but then again all of bowtech and diamonds bows are.

The octane quiver is cool and has many great features, but they're heavier than heck. A quiver needs to fit only 3 criteria for me.
    1. holds arrows securely.
    2. easy and quiet to get on/off
    3. lightweight

I am not saying the octane quiver isn't a good quiver, it is just a bit too heavy for my liking.

Not all.... some. Just something you'll see someone say from time to time. That's why I said "to each his own"... as I agree with you; I think it's one of the prettier riser designs out there. This one and the Admiral's...

If the Captain would have had the exact same riser design but in a 34" a-to-a platform, I probably wouldn't have sold the one I just did -- especially given the fact that mine was hitting 335 as a center pivot bow!

    BTguy,

I'll have to argue with you about the Bantamwieght quiver being heavy. (I should have clarified wich one I was talking about)It is very light and the reason that I purchased it is because of the three things you mentioned plus it lays very flat your bow and is SHARP looking as well:D. Are you thinking of the one with the magnant in it????

Also do you guys know why they sell the new Iceman without string silencers on the main string anymore. The 2009's sell with them on and the 2010's don't have them. Do they even make a difference?

Slingblade...... I got it at Sportsman's Ware House for the shameful price of 539.

Owen and Tom are who got me into Bowhunting in the late 70's and early 80's when they were over by the VA Hospital. Those are two GREAT Guys!!! I still have a 44 Magnum and Regal 40.5 that they custom made for me.

And did you realize that the Bear Recurve Kodiak Magnum was designed by Owen and that he and Fred Bear were bud's ? I have a Kodiak Magnum as well...

I think it is because the bow is so quiet....

    Congrats!

I really don't think there is anything that shoots like the BowTech/Diamond Center Pivot Bows.

My guess is the more you shoot it the more you will Love it :-)

    RE: octane quiver

Yeah I am, you are right though, the bantam weight is very lightweight and fits my criteria for a good quiver.
