I've been getting a lot of my spring projects done lately but I needed a break. I decided to buy some steel and make a welding table for my shop. I had an old metal cabinet with a piece of osb laying on top for a makeshift welding table but it was not ideal. Once I got the steel home I got out my milwaukee portaband on a stand and cut all the pieces. Over the last couple of days I welded it up. Due to a mix up I have a lot of wheels like the ones used here. They were supposed to be for kitchen equipment but that is another story.

    Pics below.

Very nice excellent job of designing it to be easily stored maximizing available space.

With the table weighing almost 200 lbs it let me know that I'm not getting any younger!

The vice is about 100 lbs so altogether the table and cabinet (empty) probably weigh a bit over 300 lbs.

    Thanks

Looks great man! I need one of these bad! I'm still welding on the floor. I have one very similar to that, with the cabinets built in under it and wheels, but I have my lathe bolted on top of it.

Nicely done !! A welding table is a must. The old knees will thank you from not having to weld on a cement floor.

Speaking of old knees, mine start talking back to me if I stand on concrete for too long these days!

Get a rubber mat to stand on. It's surprising how much a 1/2" thick pad will help your knees. Even the cheap kids play mats that interlock work good.
