Last Friday my kids and I were outside in the yard and a jake and two hens walked within 30 yards of us. Then Saturday, we were outside and went to go in the house an there is a hen walking around our house. She seemed to not be bothered by us at all, as long as we stayed at least 20 yards or so away. She has been coming around everyday since. She came right up to our door and even pecked on the glass a little with my kids tapping on it from the inside. My first thought was that she was somebody's pet, but there is no one anywhere around me that has any turkeys that I have ever seen. I wonder if she has a nest close by. Have any of you guys seen this type of behavior from a wild turkey? My kids think its the coolest thing and have named her JennieO.
