So I was out scouting today in a really remote area for Muley's. I see some movement on the side of this hill. There is a Doe running around like crazy. I hear dogs barking, but only see the Doe. I glass the entire hill side, but only see the crazy doe. Dogs are going crazy, so I figure that there is a fawn and some coyotes have it. I decide to take a closer look. I get about 100 yards away and see 2 cattle dogs. The doe has long gone. I call to the dogs, which I assume based on the location that they are wild strays. I finally get close enough and see a new born fawn and the dogs have it herded and it won't move. Evry time the fawn stands, the dogs go crazy and force it down. They are not biting it, they are herding it. Dogs see me and break out of there. The fawns stays, as it is so scared at this point, doesn't know what to do. I then start to move it along and my buddy gets a good picture of it running right for him. It was a crazy sight. Wild cattle dogs herding a fawn.
