Heres one from Minnesota: Lake Minnetonka boat chase suspect used baby as pepper spray shield A Minnesota man used a 9-month-old baby as a human shield when water patrol officers tried to pepper spray him during a 4th of July boat chase on Lake Minnetonka, according to charges filed Monday. Ryan David Krueger, 33, is charged with DWI, fleeing police, terroristic threats and child endangerment for the boat chase on Crystal Bay – an incident that started with a domestic dispute that sent the baby’s mother overboard. According to the charges, Hennepin County Water Patrol officers spotted boat driving erratically and circling a woman in the water, creating a heavy wake that violated the high water declaration. When officers approached the boat around 8:30 p.m., they found a baby with no life jacket sitting in Krueger’s lap. They also found the child’s mother, Jamie Schneeweis, who had jumped out of the boat to get away from Krueger. Both Krueger and Schneeweis appeared to be drunk. As Schneeweis talked to police, Krueger started to slowly drive away in his boat. When water patrol officers yelled for him to stop, he said, “F--- you!” and continued to pull away. Krueger sped off and continued driving in a manner to elude police before other boats joined the chase and forced Krueger to stop. When officers tried to board the boat and grab Krueger, he threw punches at them. Officers attempted to peppery spray Krueger, but he grabbed the baby and used it as a human shield, then pushed the throttle forward and sped away a second time. After a 15-minute chase, officers were able to block Krueger’s boat and make an arrest. While in custody, Krueger provided a breath test that registered a 0.15 BAC. The child was placed in protective custody until the mother was sober.
That's one wild night. I'm offended for two reasons: 1. I'm from NH and it's embarrassing when idiots do destructive things from your home state 2. I live in Kansas currently, and am offended that he probably wrecked a good bean field for the deer to eat on and for a farmer to harvest.
