#2 isn't correct. It's 1/2 hour before sunrise and AFTER sunset.

Your right, what I meant was it ends before the sun fully sets, it is usually still light out, unless I am mistaken, they consider the 30 minute timer to start once the sun touches the horizon. And there is usually plenty of light after the legal shooting time ends

Only thing I can't stand in Washington is only being able to get one deer. Whether it be a mule, white or blacktail. You can raffle for one but I don't think you should have to. There are spots in the inland northwest that have made it illegal to feed the deer in the suburban areas because of over population

In KY any centerfire caliber is legal during gun season. That means a turd could legally pack a .380 or .222 into the woods and hunt deer. I believe there should be a minimum pistol and minimum rifle caliber.

In MO and KS, you have to have a valid permit to hunt deer.

In KY they actually let people use rifles to hunt deer during November. I've never understood that.

Wait a minute. You seriously can't hunt on Sunday in PA or MA? You've got to be kidding me. Please for the love of God tell me there is some realistic reasoning for that.

Wow some of this stuff make CA not seem so bad. Well at least in my hunt zones anyway. All I need to do is buy 2 "general season" tags. There are dates for archery only and dates for the general season. You can hunt with a bow during both seasons, but only a rifle during the general season. That's it, the good ole K.I.S.S rule.

So for IL do gun hunters have to keep their guns in a case while traveling? I don't know when the last time anyone tried shooting a bow out of a truck window but it let me tell you, it ain't that easy. If guns don't have to be in a case, that makes no sense at all.

I wish I didn't have to buy up to 4 tags in MN
one for archery one for gun and one for muzzleloader
Then one bonus tag for does

If I don't shoot A deer with my bow I should be able to use that tag for muzzle loading ect

I didn't realize the Bible belt went that far east. Guess you don't have to decide between hunting and football anyway.

I don't know the real reason out there but I am guessing it stems from that its just tough to change laws
heck this year is the first year I can buy alcohol on Sundays in my state.

And that last part is a no brainer hunting>football

being a Pa guy myself, this question has been asked to me many times from Co-Workers (I work in Md where baiting is legal all yr) and has made me wonder as well.

what if you bait and have had mineral licks and or such before the allotted 30day period before Sept 30 and during the season the deer you harvest was taken say 20yds or even further from where you had your mineral lick or corn etc....(deer traveling through the area regardless of bait) you didn't shoot the deer over the baited area so to me it would be very hard to prove the residue from a mineral or any other bait was the reason the deer was even there. I actually like the law but I also see flaws in it as well and could see people getting fined unjustly
