Lots of top programs going down last week. My team is 6-0.... Most likely yours isn't... So in your FACE! I don't think tOSU is the 8th best team at this point however. Improvement needs to be made on defense and our weakest unit, the linebackers lost a 5th year senior starter for 4 weeks due to a broken leg. A true freshman will be starting in his place. The team is however getting better every week which is a great sign, they are coming together
Is it wrong that I hate Les Miles, and if he were to be fired, I would be happy? I know the man has an incredible record, a National Championship, and 2 SEC Championships, but I still hate the man as a coach. Am I a moron because of this?
The Gators are back!! Actually, they're probably still a year away from being "back." Whatever that means. Beating LSU the way they did was a good win though and cool to see. LSU has a horrendous offense, but the way Florida wore down their front 7 in the second half was impressive. I don't care how bad their offense is, LSU is still one of the best defenses in the country (especially in the front 7, despite injuries) and UF just dominated them physically. Driskel went back to being a deer in the headlights though. It really seems like the players are buying into what Muschamp has been preaching though. Toughness, physicality, etc. It shows in their development and play. Plus, who wouldn't want to play for a coach like this: If UF ever wins a title under Muschamp, I'm pretty sure he's going to spear a sideline reporter to celebrate.
USCjr surprised me and looked legit, their next few games will be the tale. Bama still has to trip up before I give any team the edge over them tho. Best defense in the land w a very loaded offense to complement it.
It is what happens when they were constantly on the field because the offense kept going 3 and out. No amount of conditioning would have helped them. LSU's offense is just dreadful, and Les Miles has no idea how, or want, to fix it.
Wrong to hate the man? Yes. As a coach... I understand what you mean. I like him though... he makes me laugh. To be happy if he were fired? Who would you prefer... LSU fans didn't like Saban either did they? You can have Cheeze It... BTW... Auburn loses to Ole Miss this weekend... U-haul gets a new customer.
Auburn fans wanted Willy... but we got Cheezy. The National "Cam"pionship was nice but a once solid program is in shambles.
I've always hated Les Miles as a coach. Never trusted him in big game situations. I know it makes me sound like a moron because of his record, but it is what it is.
I think its justified. He does some bizarre things in big games. Some times it works, some times it looks like he has no idea what he's doing. I think its a product of the offensive players they've had during his time. Has he ever had a QB he trusted?
Les annually fields top 10 to top 5 teams. He isn't going anywhere. For goodness sakes, he just turned down Michigan to stay there (which shows the ADs commitment to him as well).
I know he isn't going anywhere. And the man can recruit and win games. It just seem that during games in which his initial game plan is not working, he refuses to change the game plan, although it is blatantly obvious to everyone else that what he is doing is not working. I just don't think he is a very good in-game coach.
