Went down to the eastern shore of MD this weekend to a buddies farm and had a blast saw around 30 deer on 4 sits. The first morning I swam through the swamp to my stand saw 8 does and heard a grunt at first light. Evening sit I went down into a creek bottom saw 7 does and and a 4pt. I opted to switch stands that evening but my buddies dad was watching the field coming out of the swamp I hunted in the am and a 115/120 8 point would have walked right by me ... Saturday am I hunted another creek bottom with tons of sign but only saw 2 does. My last sit was the best and the hottest I hunted an inside corner were 2 fence lines came together and made a great pinch point which they had to come through to get to the clover plot. I got in stand about 2 pm around 6 pm I saw 3 does stand up in the corn and start making there way toward me not wanting to go home empty handed I planned I taking one of them about 10 mins later I saw the does take off and heard I deep grunt to my left. That was it until about 7 I couldn't see much cause the corn was still up but at about 7 pm with shooting light pretty much gone I caught movement on my left hand side. I saw his tail shake from left to right then he lifted his head up looked left than right and walked out of the corn at 30 yds skirting the corn and fence line at this point I didn't have a lane to shoot. Long story short it was I think he went back in the corn cause he didn't come under me I waited it out an hour he would have easily went 140 beautiful buck real symmetrical could tell how many points bit I would say he was 18-20in wide! Biggest buck I've ever seen on stand!

So close, I hope you get another crack at him! Hunting like that and seeing deer is so much dang fun. I don't get to do it much, but when I get invited to good property I rarely miss the chance!
