http://www.bowhunting.com/gallery/12/media/580/justin-zarr-october-10th-doe-harvest.aspx If any of you want a totally kickass hat like the one I was wearing, I can tell you where to get them for cheap. :D
I agree. Great video, don't care for the narration in the corner, mostly because of acoustics and he's talking down to the page, not to us but at us. I'd somewhat like it more if he was looking at us. Never cared for the Drury's production doing it either. Not sack riding but it's really coming together.
I thought the little JZ in the corner was KICK ASS!!! I mean, talk about looking like a freakin' professional video?!?! Wow... well done, guys!
The "mini" guys in the corner are growing on me. I agree w/Rob the audio quality sucked on this one. I forgot my wireless mics at home that day so we just used the shotgun. Next time I'll try to talk into the page, just for you Robby! Thanks for the comments guys, we're getting there!~
Nice work and congrats to everyone on the does. I like the music as the doe was coming in. I like little JZ too. What editing software are you guys using?
x2. And does it matter what you lay down the video with? I mean, does it have to be something real high-dollar like one of Rob's GL2s or whatever it is? I'm sure that's preferable.... I'm thinking I'd eventually like to get all this stuff when my boys get old enough for me to start filming their hunts.
We're using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro to do the editing. It's a big step up from when I was self-teaching myself how to edit videos using Sony Vegas at home. We now have an intern who actually knows how to do this stuff doing the editing. As for the equipment, our stuff is definitely pricey. We're using Canon XHA1 cameras which shoot in HD. I believe they're somewhere around 3.5K each. Throw in camera arms, shotgun mics, wireless mics, tapes, camera bags, etc and it adds up quick. I'm sure you don't need ALL of this stuff to put together a video video, but it certainly helps. Hopefully once the bucks start moving I'll be able to film Mike whacking another nice one this fall. For some reason I enjoy filming them get shot almost as much as shooting them. :D
