Thanks! Sounds like I might be bumping into a lot of things. May not have time to snowboard. Just turn the kids loose and drink GOOD (read that as "Real") beer.

Dont pay any attention to Siman, he's just jealous that he's still stuck using beer training wheels. A good beer would put him under the table.

Siman, if you can drink 30 of them and still walk, it's not beer. I wave my pinky in your general direction. Now go away, or I shall taunt you a second time.

Which town? Almost all the major ski resort towns have their own brewery.

Some of the major CO brands will be Oskar Blues (Ten Fidy is a great stout), Avery, Great Divide (the Yeti beers are great), an Odell.

Some of the smaller breweries, but ones that make great beer would be Funkwerks, Crooked Stave, Golden City and Strange Brewing Company.

And of course, if you see any Russian Rivers beers, you should throw some of those in your suit case to bring home. CO is just beer heaven.

I enjoyed the Founders Breakfast Stout the best, followed by the porter. I completely agree on the Dirty Bastard, very boozy. I enjoyed the Joe Mama's Milk Stout. Very easy drinking stout.

This quote is pure ignorance. Look up the beer distribution laws that handicap local breweries and you will understand why the small breweries have a hard time reaching the general public.

Thank you sir. I thought Colorado was well known for good brews. I look forward to it for sure. I will be in the Boulder area.

There are small breweries that are making it big time, so I'm not buying into the whole the little guy is picked on syndrome. Some people just prefer domestic light beer over micros. I'm not one of them, but it doesn't mean they have poor taste. IMO, anyone who can drink a 12% black beer has no taste... I'd rather drink whiskey from the bottle.

I like sampling different micro IPAs, amber ales, and the likes. Not too light, not too dark. I also enjoy drinking a dirty 30 of bud light while playing beer pong at a bon fire... nothing wrong with either.

The Three Tier distribution system 100% caters to the big breweries. Small breweries cannot distribute their own beer, they must go through a distributor. And guess what happens, InBev buys the major distribution companies, thus making sure that their products are front and center in stores, has the best product placement, etc. Happens all the time.

if you watch the film "Beer Wars" it will show you how the entire system is stacked against small breweries.

This is true. Pa has a screwed up alcohol system, but one of the big arguments against us going mainstream like everyone else is that the smaller craft beers will be SOL for getting on tge shelves. That would really tick me off. We have so many craft beer choices.
