It was not like any stout I have had before and I cant quite describe it. It had a really different finish. You pick up on both the spice and pepper. A little confusing....? It did not leave me running to the fridge for another. In fact, I went to a LH Milk Stout after. I am going to try it again this evening and give it another chance. Pick up a 6 and see what you think. Very unique.

It's really hard to describe it. I had the option to buy a single can which I'm glad I did. I've had other beers with peppers in it before that were better balanced than the Ska Mole stout but can't remember what they were called. I know there's a stout called Mexican Cake made by Westbrook that's supposed to be good that's made with habaneros and a beer called Abraxas by Perennial Artisan Ales that is made with ancho chiles that I've heard good things about too. I think they're hard to get though and both are balanced with vanilla beans and cocoa nibs.

We had 1 day of 70's here in Richmond. Don't think it's going to get over 55 this week. I think There's a chance of snow sometime this week..

I enjoyed this, an old favorite, while working in the yard with 80 degree temps yesterday. It was nice being in shorts and flip flops.

I really liked the lag sucks! A lot of their pales get too malty for me. That one is a great blend of hops/bitter without overpowering malt tones.

Good call hooker! I really like this one! It's not a tank 7, but still an excellent farmhouse saison.

Wifey and I hit a happy hour on the plaza after work. $2 tacos and tank 7 on tap at the grandfalloon. Glorious afternoon.

Well I found out that here in a couple weeks when my gf's parents come down to see us that we're going to Asheville, NC for the weekend. We're going to tour the Biltmore and check out the grounds. One of the highest rated breweries in NC is located there but unfortunately they don't currently bottle except for a release they're having at the beginning of March. I doubt any of those bottles will be left by the time I go as they expect to run out of it same-day as the release. I'll have to take my growler and maybe buy a glass growler or two there. They're supposed be be really good in the IPA/Sours/Saison departments.

Any of you guys familiar with Duclaw brewing out of Maryland? I guess we are just getting them in the Pittsburgh area. I like all styles, but generally IPA's & stouts are preferred. Any recommendations of thiers to try? I saw they have a chocolate & peanut butter porter that will be a must have.

They aren't that great. I've had most of there beers and they just can't seem to get it together on most of their brews. You will be disappointed in the chocolate peanut butter. Just my opinion.
