Going pretty well so far. Just finished up the first week. Pretty good group of guys and one of my good hunting/drinking buddies is in the same class, so that makes it even better. Just 19 weeks to go.

Decent IPA. Little more malt character than I prefer.

Why put double hopped imperial pale ale on the bottle and forget to address the ridiculous amount of malts you threw in there that totally override the hop profile? Seriously folks at Breckinridge brewery.....I buy pales for hops not for malts.

It is 9.2% ABV which is maybe why my rant got winded. Cheers!!!!

It seems like IIPA's can tend to have that malty taste that can sometimes overpower the hop presence. That's why I prefer regular IPA's. It seems like the hops shine through better. Almost like the increase in grains to hit 9.4% overpowers the extra hops added. At least that's my amateur palate's take on it.

There is all kinds of Sucks still around here. It's a very good beer at $9.99/6pack. I picked up two bombers of this NC IPA today. They just started bottling it this week and it's pretty good as well.

They had a *** load of laq sucks at the store in Richmond va. Girl at the register said it won't last till next week. I'm heading back down tomorrow for the week might stop at the beer store and try to get more. This coffee stout is ****ing great.

Another successful outing to Des Moines yesterday. First stop was El Bait Shop where I enjoyed a Clown Shoes Hoppy Feet. Then had a Evil Twin - Even More Jesus (15% ABV) which was nice and had a Omnipollo Mazarin. That was probably my least favorite but still a very good beer. Next stop was Confluence Brewery for a couple of their Milk Stouts that I have become addicted to. Great afternoon of beer snobbery was had by all.

So, I made another trip to Des Moines this weekend and the first stop was El Bait Shop. First up was; Clown Shoes Hoppy Feet, very good! Next I had an Evil Twin - Even More Jesus, also very good. Then I tried an Omnipollo Mazarin. It was my least favorite but probably because my palate had been wrecked by then. I think it would be a better warm weather beer. Not to say it was bad at all. Next stop was Confluence Brewing Co. where I had a couple of Nitro Milk Stouts. That has become a favorite of mine. I just got a text yesterday morning that my new buddy from VA has left me a 120 and something else behind the bar at El Bait Shop. I am going up to meet him for dinner and see if I cant get him talked into letting me buy more 120.
