I have a couple of those aging aswell. But im holding onto them for a friend so he wont drink them. Im not much of a stout guy. And there worldwide stout is too much for me.

On a side note... Is anyone going to the Flying dog barrel aged horn dog release tomorrow?

There was a day I could have agreed with this. Now, I am far too beer snobish. lol

But, if its 100 degrees and I have just finished putting in food plots and a buddy pulls up with a cooler of ice-cold Busch Light, I will definitely lower my standards.

eh, I prefer a beer made by craftsmen, not by a Brazilian-Belgian industrial combine. YMMV.

Beer snobs are like the guy at the range who spends more time goin around showing the new sights on his bow than actually shooting.

Beer is a tool to let loose and have fun for the most part. Domestic light beers help you do it on the cheap without becoming a fatass. It's a win win.

Fishing, bonfire, party setting I want to split a dirty 30 of whatever with a buddy. Sittin around watching a game or eating? Ill take a sixer of a microbrew.

One of the best quotes I've seen in a while "If microbrews were so damn good, they would make more of them." Lol

This place is going down the tubes fast...if it comes in anything bigger then a six pack and it doesn't have a tap...well then it's not beer.
Sign me up as a beer snob if you want but I would rather enjoy a pint or two beer that looks, tastes, smells and acts like beer then yellow watered down looking buy one get one free 30 pack swill that called "beer"...
    Ok my rant is done...

I been seriously beer less for weeks now as I haven't put an order in since last month... Works been insane with a couple of new issues to underwrite.....need to change that this weekend and I will post up some pics...

Fine selection at the place I'm eating at tonight. With the most commercial of the drafts being Dogfish, Sam Adams, Goose Island, Stella, Guiness, Yuengling and Sierra Nevada. I'm having none of the above but enjoying a Bear Republic Racer 5 IPA with dinner...its good...hoppy, smooth initially followed by a nice bitter bite. And I'm content.

I had a Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout last night that was pretty good. I'm excited for the spring seasonal beers to start being released.

Mass macro brands - unit sales down year on year.

Craft beer - growing by double digit percentages each year. Alabama, my home state, has craft growing by 22% per year. Increasing production capacity in a brewery usually costs on the order of $250,000, so yeah - craft breweries are all brewing flat out and are *still* not able to meet demand :P

This is not a bad thing. But macro light beers will always have their place.

Glad you enjoyed! A couple of that batch I liked and couple where Meh... What did you like best ..least ect?
The founders Breakfast Stout was pretty solid as was the imperial Stout

I am a porter fan and thought the founders porter was better then avg...

The Dirty old bastard didn't thrill me.....to much Etoh on the finish...

The other two stouts... where just average in my mind.

sadly we still have to deal with wiful ignorance and being called "alcoholics" because we like beer. In some places people who don't drink the mass brands are verbally attacked and insulted and/or have homophobic insults thrown at them, all because they prefer an 11% ABV imperial stout over a 4.2% glass of fizzy swill that tastes like bad soda water.

Heck, look at the comments here - at the insulting comments thrown at the craft drinkers. So no, sorry, but with respect I disagree. Until mass brand drinkers stop being boors and calling craft beer drinkers "snobs" and other such insults, people like me will call them on it.

Oskar Blues, Great Divide, and Avery are the larger brands from CO. You probably won't be able to move without bumping into a small brewery :)
