So.....I survived Boulder, CO. I could spend every weekend there. The food and beer are both outstanding. We never did even make it to Denver and still did not hit all the spots in and around Boulder that we wanted to. Still, we did a lot! Here is a list of the places visited and beers drank. It was a dream for me.

We visited Left Hand Brewery and drank: Milk Stout (outstanding), Fade to Black, Ambidextrous Ale 6, Russian Imperial Stout.

At Avery: Hog Heaven, Salvation, The Reverend, Maharaja, Coconut Brown, Out of Mind Ethiopia, Gored, Chocolate Mint. ( I LOVE Avery beers)

At Upslope: Imperial IPA, Rye IPA (favorite there)

Went to Fate: IPA, and had amazing food.

Oskar Blues: Mamma's Little Yella Pills (weak), Dales Pale Ale, Deviant Dales IPA, G'Knight Imperial Red IPA, Ten Fidy Imperial Stout (very good).

In various bars and tap rooms I also drank: Ska Modus Hoperandi, Dogfish Head 90 min IPA, Russian River Blind Pig IPA (very good), Stone Suede, Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA, Boulder Mojo.

As soon as I sober up, I want to go back!

Actually YES! We drove out but had our youngest son (soon to be 18) fly out to Denver and take a shuttle to Boulder. We hooked him up with snowboarding during the day and then he hauled us around for the afternoons/evenings. Not sure he would do it again....lol. Its about a 10 hour drive for us and he only beat us home by about 3 hours. But, we could haul beer!

Blind Pig was definitely one of my favorites of the trip. Fantastic beer. Good luck!

Maybe while the rest of the BH.com guys go camp and drink crappy beer, we could have a BH.com get together in Colorado and drink real beer and sleep in a nice Hotel! Its such an easy drive for us, we are already talking about a repeat trip this summer. Its about 10 hours, but we jump on I-80 and its a straight shot to 76. So easy.

I was really surprised, but did not see one person puffing weed the whole trip. The media makes it sound like everybody and their dog are smoking it up out there. If so, I sure did not see it.

Well the thing is. While it's legal in CO. It's still illegal to consume it while in public, like walking down the street drinking a beer kinda thing.

Just realized that I called it Blind "HOG" in the original post. lol Was probably thinking of Avery Hog Heaven.

I may have had a little too much to drink by the time I entered that one into my phone. I know one thing, once I tried it, I stuck with it for the rest of the night. It really was that good.

I'm with you for sure. It's usually top of my list when I'm browsing but lately I've been buying stouts and drinking homebrew brown ale.

I had a founders BS at the hotel last night with my devils spit burger from famous Dave's. It was tasty. Stouts are goring more and more on me.

IPA > brown ales > stouts

Smutty nose brown dog ale had to be one of my fav's
