Last night's Deschutes Hop Trip. Pretty tasty and can definitely taste the dank fresh hop flavor. This one is fresh hopped with crystal, would definitely like to try it with a more citrusy variety. Gonna have to find some chasin freshies I guess.

Tonight a cream stout from Sam Adams. Not a bad brew for such a mass scale brewery.

Sam Adams still puts out some decent beers with being a large scale brewer. I usually find one or two that I like quite a bit in the winter seasonal variety pack.

Man this is a good beer! I was really surprised! Amber with no harsh or bitter after taste. Smooth rich flavor. Ill be buying more if this in the future for sure.

To start off the evening while grilling some venison sausage. Also watching some Brew Dogs in the background.

Hey fletch, have you ever had a beer called PseudoSue from Toppling Goliath Brewing? Just curious because I've heard a couple people saying good things about it and it's rated a 100 on Beer Advocate.

Well, it looks like you guys have made a convert. My husband doesn't post much but he reads most of the threads. We were discussing this beer thread when he suggested I pick up something to try. So I brought home a six-pack of Bells Kalamazoo Stout. We both liked it. It's not something you would sit and drink five or six of, but it's nice for dessert.

So then I bought a Bells Porter. And we liked that too. Another dessert drink mostly. Sort of rich, like the stout.

So today we went out together to this humongous farm market which sells almost anything. I go there mostly for fruits and vegetables, especially stuff like daikon which I can't get anywhere else really fresh. They also have an enormous selection of beers and wines. And they have a tasting bar too. We tried a Founders Breakfast Stout and a Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. Both were very tasty. The Celebration ale was surprisingly rich tasting and had absolutely no after taste, finished VERY clean. I thought I wasn't going to get any. You have to show ID and he kept looking at my license and back at me. (For those who don't know me, I look like a ten-year old.) But it was really cool to get samples. They change the samples every few days so you get to try a lot of different brews. (You can only have three samples though so you can't get hammered on samples.)

They group the Bells and Founders (they're both Michigan brewers) together so we looked through the selections and took home a Bells Winter White Ale in honor of the season's first snow fall today. It's good, sort of a hint of orange and clove, just a hint.

My husband wants to try the Java Stout and the Cherry Stout. We also want to try the Two-Hearted Ale. Then we'll give some of the Founders brews a try.

Can't really go wrong with Bell's or Founder's. Both breweries have numerous great beers so you'll enjoy pretty much everything you get from the two. I just had a pint of two hearted ale on Friday and have some of the java, double cream, and expedition in the fridge and a couple breakfast stouts too

I didn't take a picture but, there was one at World Market the other day called "Old Leghumper" I believe I'm going to try that and "The Poet". Anyone ever heard of or tried either?

I wait for the celebration ale every year, just bought my first 6 pack of the year. Probably my all time favorite IPA
