I tried the fat jack at a tasting last weekend. I definitely agree that it's more of a "fall spice" type of beer rather than pumpkin. It kind of reminded me of Heavy Seas Greater Pumpkin. I still liked them, but was definitely expecting more of a pumpkin flavor when I tried them.

Meh it was alright. About like most other Pumpkin beers I have had. One is all I need, drinking 3 of them made me not care to buy it again. haha

It's from a local brewery. They just opened this month, and trademarked the slogan "Drink Real Beer"

Really surprised that hadn't been trademarked yet

I'm glad you liked that hooker. I've never had it but from what I had heard I was worried it might be too bitter for you.

nah, it had the good kind of hop bitterness up front, but had a really nice citrusy, piney finish, not the lingering bitterness that I don't like

Tried a few of these today at a BBQ...pretty smooth, it's nothing I need to run out and buy more of, original Guinness will suffice just fine by me. This tasted like they mixed original Guinness with a Guinness black lager and gave it a new name.

Had the Sofie and Matilda this weekend. Really like the Sofie, but wasn't too fond of her sister, had a bit of a lingering aftertaste that wasn't too good. The Stillwater Existent was awesome, probably tied with the Sofie from the sampler I grabbed for the weekend.

Here's what i had this weekend. The java head was a decent coffee stout. Nothing to write home about. The green bullet on the other hand is fantastic IMO. If you love strong bitter IPA's this one for you. The Dogfish American beauty... pretty tasty IPA i have another bottle that im going to let condition and see if it gets better.

I was pretty meh on the Green Bullet. But you definitely seem to love really bitter IPAs.
