I'm thinking about trying to make a trip up to the brewpub when I'm back in IL over thanksgiving weekend. What did you get with your two cases? If they so happen to have ZD when I go I'll definitely get a case but if not I'm trying to decide what to get. Do you know how their limits work with the more specialty stuff that they offer in bombers? If possible I'd like to get two cases and a few bombers but we'll see what they allow.

I don't recall seeing any Chimay posts on here at all? Anyone a fan?

Chimay Grand Reserve is what got me started in real beer. I guess because it is so easily obtainable, I rarely drink it anymore. But yes, Chimay is always a good choice.

Chimay is way to expensive for not being that good.

Well the pumpking had no pumpkin flavor's what so ever. Like a dogfish punkin or a schlafly, you get a more pumpkin flavor (cinnamon, nutmeg, all spice)

For a beer being called Pumpking i was very disappointed.

We got cases of ZD and Alpha King and also got some Arctic Panzer Wolf and Dreadnaught in growlers. My wife and I went in separately and bought all they would allow. I really don't remember the particulars. I may have killed those brain cells. I just know that I want to go back!

Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale for me tonight....different take on a pumpkin ale taste wise, less pumpkin flavor and a lot more spice notes. I like it.
