Yeah it was ok. It's just kinda the style though, kinda boring. It's what I needed after working in the 100 degree heat today. Very easy drinker for 8%.

I don't get in on this thread much but will start now.

For some background info I'm a beer, scotch, and wine snob, but can still appreciate a cold bud light after working in the Kansas heat all day. Now that temps are cooling I find it much easier to enjoy "bigger" beers. I'm a fan of heavy hops, stout stouts , and deep caramel browns.

Tonight after work I picked up a six of mother's brewing co. Three blind mice brown ale. They're a fairly new craft brewery out of Springfield, MO. I enjoy their IPA, but am a little disappointed on this brown. I give it a 5 out of 10. Decent nutty beginning, but lacks depth as the beer washes down. I like browns with a lil bit more on the toasty caramel notes and this one finishes like a lager IMO.

I finished off my growler of local IPA tonight and now I'm having an Oskar Blues G'Knight.

Well after a few nights of 40 degree weather, last night was 38, and low 70 to high 60 days. I am finally in the mood for some pumpkin brew's. Tonight's line up... Schlafly pumkin ale, Weyerbacher Imperial pumpkin ale ( never had before) and The Fear by flying dog brewery.

I'm kinda surprised Schlafly's distribution spreads as far as it does. I can't get it in NC but my gf's parents are coming in a couple weeks and I'm going to have them bring me a six pack hopefully. I like their coffee and oatmeal stout too. Last fall someone shared a growler of some really good limited pumpkin stout with me from their taproom that I'd love to have again.

Punk'n still hasn't made it down here yet. A couple stores have been expecting it for about 2 weeks now but for some reason distribution hasn't happened yet. Their website says it's here, but it's not.

I tried several new to me beers this last weekend

Clown Shoes Hoppy Feet-Pretty good, solid nice hopped up beer.
Firestone walker Wookie Jack- Very interesting, probably a love it or hate it beer, I really liked it.
Lost Abbey Red Barn Ale- Very, very good. Almost every beer I've tried with grains of paradise in it, I've liked.
Troegs Dead Reckoning Porter-Awesome beer, but a bit hoppier than normal for a porter, I liked that aspect, others may not.

Bear Republic Black Racer IPA tonight. Incredibly smooth, nice hoppiness.
