You guys that are home brewing, are you buying your supplies locally or online? I'd like to try my hand at brewing.

I have 2 options for local homebrewing stores, plus I buy from northernbrewer.com and I keep seeing good deals for morebeer.com

Thanks guys. The only things I've seen locally are the cheapo plastic kegs that are sold at Macys at Christmas time. If I do it, I'd like some decent equipment.

Be careful with overcarbonated homebrew, today's over carbonation could be tomorrow's bottle bombs.

Bottle bomb's are normally twist lids. No respectable beer drinker drinks beer from a twist off. I doubt hoker would bottle his brew in a twist off bottle.

bottle bombs are what happens when your homebrew over-carbonates. If you bottle before fermentation is done, or add too much sugar for bottle conditioning: POW.

Went to the nations captial today... did a little shopping with the misses... then did a little beer shopping at some wine & spirts. Picked up a 4 pack of dogfish 120 minute ( limit per customer ) 1 Dogfish head Immort ale, and a few other IPA's and a brown ale that doesnt have much flavor which im drinking right now. glad it was only $1.99. Afterwards we stopped @ lost rhino brewery on the way home and took the tour and had a few samples. Nothing spectacular.. however it is the only tour that ive been on that i have ever gotten to take a sample of brew where its kept before filtering and bottled.

I agree! It's pretty good, better than the angry orchard stuff. It's pretty sweet so I normally don't want to drink more than one.

I got a pretty decent haul from a buddy in Denver. Really looking forward to trying the Crooked Stave, The Bruery, and of course, the Russian River offerings.
