Schlafly Double Bean Blonde. Limited time seasonal, awesome coffee beer. Sorry, I didn't take a picture.

Well, finally I got some time to sort through my ridiculous haul. A huge thanks to Tom for orchestrating what will likely be the largest and most diverse haul of my entire life. Also, a big thanks to everyone that worked with him in trades! I am still just shaking my head. My wife and I are really anxious to dive into these and I will keep you posted. For reference, the back row in each picture are all bombers. Many of these brews were shipped in multiples, so you are only seeing about half of the actual haul. It took me over two hours to just sort for pictures and put it back away. lol

That's a lot of beer! You're going to have to keep a log on what you liked and what you didn't.

Holy crap, Tom told me it was a lot of beer but I had no idea it would be that sort of haul. Have fun with all that.

That is a lot of IPAs that you need to start drinking.

Exactly what I thought. Truth be told, we have been drinking the IPA's that we had multiples of. I know they are best fresh. We have friends coming Friday for an evening of sampling. Should be a lot of fun.

What would be the order of importance for consumption fresh? Primarily just the IPA's? And, what absolutely must be kept cold and what would do fine in a cool basement? I have been keeping it in a cold garage to this point, but it is starting to warm up here.

Again, thanks to all the participated! Just amazing.....

Drink all the IPAs as fresh as possible.

Any of the sours or stouts or porters can be aged in a cool basement just like wine.

Fruited sours are generally better fresh, as are coffee stouts, if you want the added flavors. They won't go bad, but the added flavors will mellow.

Another pretty decent IPA from Half Acre to go along with Daisy Cutter.

Dave I hope you enjoy the beer, I can not thank you enough for what you did for my son. Thanks again to everyone that made trades with me and helped give suggestions on what beer I should try and get. I do really appreciate the help and hope made it worth your time and effort :) let us know which ones are your favorite Dave. I got beer from about 20 people from 14 different states to get that variety and for a non beer drinker I had some fun with it.

From what I read here and other online lists the most sought after beer steamed to be Heady Topper, Lawson's Sip of Sunshine, Zombie Dust, The Blind Pig and Pliny The Elder but the hardest for me to get was the stuff from The Lost Abbey, Trillium Brewery and Maine Brewing.

I wanted to ask this before but didn't want to give away what I was doing. What is everyone's favorite beer they have had and what is the one beer you havent had that you really want to try?

Favorite is surly abrasive ale, really want to try Pliny, dogfish 120, jai Alai, and heady. I'd love to try zombie dust again since the one you sent me was drank after about four beers and I can't quite remember it. lol

Favorite beer is such a hard question...is best beer I've ever had? the beer I drink the most? the beer that I would choose if I could only pick 1 beer to drink for the rest of my life?

the best beer I've ever had is probably Hill Farmstead Double Citra or Cantillon Fou Foune.

the beer I drink the most is a local pale ale, Great Raft Commotion

the best that I would pick if I had to pick one to drink for the rest of my life is probably Goose Island Sophie

this is a much easier question

    any Side Project beer
    any Funk Factory beer
    any South Hampton beer
    some Holy Mountain saisons
    Fonta Flora
    Toppling Goliath stouts
and so on and so on...

Interesting, I have a DFH 120 that is pushing 4 years old. I was going to pop it this weekend.

I also found a 2012 Boulevard Saison Brett when we moved. I have aged those before and drank it side by side with a fresh one and there is absolutely no comparison. I like both, but the age puts an entirely different tone on it. So smooth and rich with some age. I think it is getting popped this weekend also, along with a few new offerings! :thewave: Thanks Tom!

I had a DFH 90 min last night and have to say, I had forgotten just how good that really is. Probably one of my all-time favorites for beers that are readily available. I also split a Blind Pig bomber with my wife, so damn good. I am going to weigh 200 pounds before this haul is gone.....thanks Tom:evilgrin:

The SOS I got in the trade is probably one of the best I've had.

Regular favorite is Dales Pale Ale.

    Want to try Heady.

This was a little bit of a let down. It was rated very high most places. It lived up to its name though, a little rough around the edges.
I thought it didn't finish well enough for four stars or higher..gave it a 3.75. Still good but not world class.
