Since I'm new to this and I've looked around and seen a few different types of glasses. What are the main differences and how do you decide what beers to use a glass on or if you just drink out of the bottle or can?

I never drink out of a bottle.

I drink out of cans when I'm outside or at a crawfish boil or something. I always prefer to pour into glass if I can. You get more of the nose in a glass.

As for glass preferences, it really isn't that big of a deal.

    But in general for me:

    IPAs = tulip glasses
    Stouts/porters = snifter
    Sours/saisons = teku or sensorik

I have a whole cabinet full of different beer glasses, so you better believe I'm going to use them. My favorite is the sensorik because it makes me feel all fancy.

Anyone have a list of beers I could go in search of here in Central MN?

I love pretty much any beer (from natty ice/old Milwaukee to Surly) and would love to start trying more. I don't think I've had a beer that I wouldn't drink again (unless its piss warm).

You love Natty? My god man. Up your standards a little bit. I mean I drink bud light for the everyday type beer. But I'm getting into more craft beers as well.

Jake you can get stuff that is available all over here in MN. There is not many beers that these guys talk about in this thread available in MN other than Surly. If you cross the river into Hudson you can get stuff from Dogfish head and New Glarus if you go over towards Milwaukee you can get stuff from Three Floyds that everyone on here seams to like.

If it's the only thing available I'll drink it. No way in hell do I seek it out!

I really like visiting the larger liquor stores and just picking out random brews. I just wish we had a bigger selection.

I supposedly spend a lot of time in Colorado but I had to learn where the best Colorado Sours were brewed from a guy in Louisiana and another in Kansas.....

Having a couple pints and taking home a bunch of cans.
The Dude, is a really solid stout. Lots going on with it.
Also excellent is EL Dorado a west cost IPA...

Well after browsing this thread today I had to get something tonight... Not many options here in central MN.

Tom suggested Dales Pale Ale and Bells two hearted - Love them both.
