It's official. I now have more awesome craft beer than anyone deserves. A huge thanks to Tom and to everyone that made trades with him! It's ridiculous, and I am so grateful. We were gone for part of the weekend and then my wife put me to work making custom curtain rods for our new home on Sunday, so I have not even been able to unpack all the boxes and take photos. But, I certainly will.

    Thank you!!

Agreed! I haven't scored that one yet, but rainbow dome was incredible. I hear their hoppy offerings are world class too, but are hard to come by outside NY

Did some BA stout tasting lately

2013 boulevard bourbon barrel stout-the years in the cellar did this brew well. Fresh I find it to be too hot and boozy, after three years it's roasty, mild booze/oak character, and lots of raisin/fig going on. This was the star of the tasting IMO

2015 Bourbon county stout-same as years past, maybe a lil better and more balanced, but as always, a world class BA stout.

2015 Bourbon county coffee stout-I've never had a fresh bottle of this before, in the past I've aged it at least a year, and in the future I think I'll age it. The coffee was so bold and upfront that you lost all of the barrel flavor, and I almost found it to be bitter like potent black coffee. It was still a great beer, but I prefer this label aged.

I am still waiting on one package. As soon as I get that, I will take a picture of the entire haul. Patience grasshopper.

My wife did enjoy a Sip of Sunshine last night. She has a permanent grin on her face!

Well Half Acre brewing out of Chicago just recently increased their production to the whole state of Illinois which is a pretty solid pick up for our area. Their Daisy Cutter pale ale is more like an IPA but is about as good as it gets around here. Also recently opened the Green Man brew below. Not too bad but not outstanding either. Green Man is only really known for their sours which are really limited and nearly impossible to get.

I took this photo at Greenman Brewery just a few weeks ago. Fun place to go, and some good brews.

Bengali is one of my favorite go to summer sippers. Such a solid backyard BBQ brew and easy to find. IMO it's highly underrated for how delicious it is

Can someone explain to me the differences between a crowler, howler, and growler?

Growler is 64 oz but how about the others?

If you drink an entire Growler in 5 minutes you become a crowler or a howler depending on how you handle your alcohol haha!!!
