My son likes that stuff. I tried it and thought it needed a couple scoops of ice-cream. lol

I just don't have a pallet for the sweet ciders or soda style beers. I know they have really gained popularity though.

If I am going to drink a beer with high ABV its going to be a nice stout or double IPA. That's what makes this thread fun. So many options out there now. Enjoy your rootbeer float! ;)

I'm ready to get out of seattle and get back on the east coast where the beers don't suck and people brewing them don't have a superiority complex. I've drank more mediocre IPAs and DIPAs out here that the Brewers claim to be the "hoppiest, best, dankest, most blow your mind" beer ever created...only to be let down by a poorly dry hopped malt bomb. They have no clue what the alchemist, hill farmstead, or Lawson's finest liquids are and could care less because Washington brewed beer is "the best there is." Thankfully there's decent distribution from California and Oregon so I can find halfway decent hops on the shelves.

    Rant over!

Flying in to NH Thursday for the start of a 4 month contract. Quality beer drinking to ensue.

We got not your fathers root beer around here and coney islands root beer. They are good but I can barley get a 1/2 of 1 down.

Leaving in style...DFH choc lobster, DFH 120 min, and DFH old school barleywine. All on tap, they must have had a DFH tap takeover and I timed my visit right, luckily. Also got deschutes black butte XXVI barrel aged Porter. Been after that one a long time.

Hit up the prohibition pig today for lunch after work. Vermont may have its quirks just like everywhere else, but they hands down brew the finest IPA and DIPA in the country. I enjoyed a heady topper, focal banger, and second fiddle

Also scored some good bottles from a shop in Waterbury

Enjoy that cafe jesus, it's pretty delicious. Evil Twin stouts are so expensive though haha. I've been drinking some craft here and there but have slowed down a lot now that I'm not in NC anymore. I'm about to start breaking into some of these BA stouts I have though now that we're getting fall weather and easing into winter. If up for a possible trade before it gets too cold to ship up there give me a holler Jeff. I'd love to be able to get some hops from up there again... it's been too long!

    Back in Vermont...bastard

I've been mostly drinking local recently. Nothing too interesting. I have a big bottle share coming up in south LA at the end of the month though. Should be fun.

Ate at the Granite brewery last week and was not very impressed, bought a flight for $5, got eight 4 oz glasses of their home brews. They had a really good stout (Broad Axe) and Bock (The Bennie) but the rest seemed very similar in taste. They do make a mean Bison Burger though!

I thought their beer was really poor to average. The food I liked.

Brandon: I'll work on a score sometime before Christmas. I'm in Kansas for a month bowhunting in November. After that I'll see what I can do. This stuff is getting stupid popular here. It's not just NH, VT, and MA buying it anymore. I saw vehicle tags from maine, NJ, Pennsylvania, Maryland on a quick stop through Waterbury. All there looking for heady and sip of sunshine. It's outta control, but I know some good spots off the beaten path to get the goods.

Dave: When I finally draw enough points for an Iowa tag I will personally bring Sean lawson to iowa and make him brew you beer for life for a chance at an Iowa booner

Hook: I'm back! And it feels good! Enjoy the upcoming bottleshare. Your brew list at those is always epic. I'll keep you posted on any scores I make.

    Yazoo has a cool taproom.

I've had some good beers from The Black Abbey and Tennessee Brew Works.

I always try to pick the place with the best beer to do brewery tours because almost all brewery tours are the same. I'd probably go to Yazoo if I had to choose.

Me and my better half are in Ohio till Monday. We are going to the Browns and Broncos game. Our first stop was hoppin frog brewery for a late lunch and refreshments.

Got a flight and 2 more 5oz. Beers. - the 2 beers not on the flight list was their BA pumpkin and BA scotch ale.. Every beer was awesome. The BA D.O.R.I.S was the best. I bought a bottle of 2010 vintage BA Doris (jeffcarp)
