    Been awhile since I checked in. I'm back in IL now and haven't been drinking quite as much. I had a share with a friend yesterday of mostly sours including 3F Oude geuze, wicked weed serenity, wicked weed La Bonte with plum, perennial artisan ales anniversaria , and Westbrook gose. He has a New Glarus wild peach set aside still that I'm hoping to get to try and also he gifted me a side project saison du fermier.

    It's a real shame, I work maybe 5 miles from Side Project and have never made the trip over there. I just find it a pain to try and get a bottle when they release every year.

    I plan on making a couple trips a year down to STL now that I'm back in IL. I'll probably make it to a side project release and my buddy has a bottle of barrel aged Abraxas that I'll get to partake in this winter sometime. Pretty much have to go to Chicago or STL for good beer now.

    Toppling Goliath in little Decorah, Iowa was recently named one of the top 5 breweries in the World. Just started in 2009.

    Their Golden Nugget is amazing. I am planning on making a run up there in October. Great stuff!
