Ok another left coast brew! My brother in law came through big time with his beer basket this year!!

    Heretic

    Chocolate Hazelnut Porter..,

This is very very smooth, it's complex yet easy to drink. Finishes amazing...really really nice porter, ImageUploadedByTapatalk1420323348.540700.jpg

Well I've been MIA for a the past 1.5 weeks or so as I went back home to IL for the holidays and the area I'm from isn't much for craft beer. I brought a couple home that I drank but for the most part I was indulging in the likes of Miller Light, Stag, Coors Light, Budweiser, Natty Light, Mich Ultra, and Old Milwaukee haha. Nothing wrong with it as they were enjoyed with great friends that I hadn't seen for over 6 months. Time to get back to some decent beer though today while watching football.

My husband loves that. Also their Two Hearted Ale.

Our favorite bar has the Two Hearted Ale on tap.

Pretty good brew. Quad Ipa coming in at 13%, which really isn't noticeable.

Nice beer Brandon! I love knee deep. IMO they're underrated on the west coast. Pliny gets a lot of attention and I've had at least two beers from knee deep that id consider better.

32 cans of heady topper, 16 cans of Lawson's sip of sunshine. Today was a good day! I limited out before 9 AM. I went for heady, and Lawson's was a sweet bonus!

I scored 8 cans of Heady the other day and thought I was on top of the world. You blew that out of the water! Very nice. It is sooo darned good.

Don't be a D-bag. Recycle the can. lol

8 cans is a heck of a haul for a guy residing thousands of miles away from VT in unit 5!!! I have a feeling those won't be your last cans!

Haha, I always recycle! There's enough D bags out there these days, I feel it's my responsibility as a beer need to clean up what I can.

Dang!!! Andrew, every beer has been a home run so far! Das Uberkind stole the show for sure, but everything else has been great too. Furious from surly, resinous and bitter, I loved it and would like to try more of their beers. Also tried my first great raft brew, "at arms length", an imperial pale lager. The lager is on par with jacks abbey from Massachusetts who I consider the king of hobby lager beers. Also, sinister minister, a great black IPA. Hops were in the background, but the malt bill is delicious. Lots of roasted coffee and chocolate notes. I can't forget about das uberkind!!! Straight up awesome! My wife is a sour head and I'm digging them as well. This was a world class sour for sure. Jester king didn't disappoint on this one at all. Noble king was meh when I had it, but das uberkind was the bomb!

We paired the beers alongside some shrimp tacos, homemade guacamole, and Spanish rice. I sautéed the shrimp in a jalapeño infused cooking oil and finished with fresh squeezed lime juice. The jalapeño and plenty of good beer was a nice warmer. Wind chills here in North central New Hampshire are supposed to approach 40-50 below zero these next two nights.

Awesome stuff Jeff. Glad the hoppy beers had not faded.

I'm still trying to convince the wife for us to go to Austin sometime this spring, so if we do, I'll definitely load up on the Jester King sours.

Man I hope your wife agrees!!! And if you load up on JK sours, and I'm still working up here i can guarantee there'll be a healthy stash of heady topper and other goodies headed your way if you wanna trade.

Had this before but still pretty good. It's a little more bitter than I remembered.
