Weekend beer line up

I have that one in the fridge now. Haven't opened it though.

 

At one time, it was a decent, refreshing beer, back when they actually used fresh strawberries, but they switched to extract a few years ago, and now it is just bad.

 

for me, it's worse than bad.

It's indifferent. Craft beer is about passion, but this beer has become.. beige.

 

Perfect description of the entire Abita line-up. Abita has just kinda quit trying, which is really sad, since it is Louisiana's largest and flagship craft brewery.

Went to Three Floyds Brew Pub over the weekend in Munster, Indiana. Drove 5.5 hrs to check it out. It was definitely worth the trip. The beer is great and the food is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys craft brews. We brought home the max that they would allow us to carry out. Good stuff. I liked every beer I tried there. Really liked the Arctic Panzer Wolf and the Dreadnaught. The place is definitely full of interesting people.

That's a place that's on my go too list..I figure when I draw an Iowa tag I will swing by on 80 on my way out.

 

Had a Southern Tier 2XIPA, a Magic Hat No.9, and a couple of my homebrews this weekend

 

This made for a very enjoyable evening.

 

What kind of brew is that?

 

That was a growler of Arctic Panzer Wolf by 3 Floyds. We also brought home some cases of Alpha King and Zombie Dust. We tried most of what they had on tap and I loved them all. I would have brought home some Robert The Bruce too, but it was not available in cases when we were there. Great pilgrimage for anyone that loves good beer.

Those Summer Shandys are gross! Had a sixer pregaming for the derby two weekends ago and I had to give away 4 of them.

 

This is my summer beer, at 8% abv. You only need a six pack.

 

Picked up a 6 pack of new Belgium Rolle Bolle summer Ale. It's labeled as a Belgian pale ale brewed with monk fruit and soursop. Never even heard of either of those fruits but its pretty tasty and refreshing.
