Weekend beer line up

When you plan on cracking open the res vb

 

I might take that back to IL to share with a few friends at a bottleshare over the xmas/new year holidays as I know drinking that on my own will get me pretty drunk. How hot is it when it comes to the bourbon? Does it need aged to balance out at all or is it ready whenever?

 

This is a really good beer! Tastes like sweet tarts and Amarillo hops. Lots of peach and mango on the aroma and a solid amount of tartness. I've set another bottle back to age.

Today was a barleywine day!

Kickin chicken, a bourbon barrel aged barleywine from Santa Fe


Billionaire, a cognac barrel aged English barleywine from clown shoes

 

I had my last bottle of billionaire the other day. Going to miss it.

 

I've had these two so far today... the WW wasn't anything too outstanding but the Vanilla Framinghammer is really good.

 

I really liked it. I'll be honest barleywine hadn't been something I liked prior to yesterday. I wish I had another to age a few years. The cognac barrel adds such an awesome flavor. I bet after a few years it's even better.

Black caps this year.

 

My BCBS have all had black caps as well. Even the BCBCS had black caps.

 

Ahh. I guess you don't know. They aged some bc in pappy van wink barrels this year and those bottles are gold capped

Very rare and limited. Not sure what the ratio is but I'm sure is a 1000:1 or something like that
