Hook have you gotten any Ghost in the Machine lately? Saw a few posts in the FT forums at beer advocate. We'll have to set something up sometime.

I have not, and will probably not be able to get any. And if I do, it will probably just be a bottle or 2 (they are 12oz bottles now). We still don't get Parish up here yet, and Ghost is selling out everywhere down south really quick. I'm going to try to get some, but it's not looking good right now.

Hook, dave, I definitely recommend making the pilgrimage. I feel very blessed and fortunate to have experienced it. If I had it to do over again I'd come in November. All the RR sours including beatification would be on tap, also the valley tourism of napa and Sonoma would be greatly decreased. Right now they are starting to harvest the white varietals and that draws a large crowd to the area. My only regret is not being able to bring more home, but I think I've got a few to trade and age. The consecration was absolutely delicious! So glad I got to try it. It's a sour brown aged in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels.

Conescration is probably my favorite RR that I have tried

A bike tour would be awesome Dave! Such beautiful scenery out here. Definitely come at an off time because there's a lot of crazy tourist drivers, myself included haha. I haven't noticed many bikers out here right now and I'm assuming that's because of the busyness of the valley right now. A couple wineries we've been too said April/may are great times for bike tours, but there's no fruit on the vines at that time. Still plenty of wine and beer to consume tho :-)

Well tonight or I guess I should say tomorrow morning I'll be heading over to Foothills brewery for the BA Sexual Chocolate release. Gonna be heading that way at about 1AM (I know... I'm crazy) and getting there to line up at about 2:30. Hoping to be able to try some pretty limited beers with the bottle shares going around. I'm planning on taking one of my Huna's for the share. I'll report in with what I get the chance to try.

I'm going on my own but there's several guys from my area that are going so there will be familiar faces.

I'm going to start trying out a bunch of new beers since I just had my 21st recently. I'll be going to Binnys and they have a pretty decent selection of stuff.

Is there any go to beers you guys enjoy that you would recommend trying? I'm open to pretty much anything.

There is just too many beer, too many styles, too many everything to really answer this question...

I guess the best way to first find one style of beer you like is to go to places that let you create your own 6 pack. Research the beer first on Beer Advocate to see the reviews to make sure it is worth it though.

But up your way, really any Founders, Bells, DFH, etc should get you started.

Yeah I figured it would be a little difficult to answer. I will look at 6 packs because I'm pretty sure I can do that Binnys. I'll be sure to check out beer advocate as well. Thanks for the the help.

Trying to figure out how this witbier from Maine made it to Northern California. I drank a lot of these when I lived in New Hampshire. Such a good brew

Made it back from the BA Sexual Chocolate release. I was able to have several awesome beers while waiting including BCBC Barleywine, 3 Brothers Resolute, Hardywood Gingerbread Stout, Dark Hollow from Blue Mountain, Silent Night, Imperial Java from Santa Fe, Big Gruesome, Black Ops, Cafe Royale, Liquid Bliss from terrapin, and Even More Jesus from Evil Twin and of course BA Sexual Chocolate. I got there at 2:30AM and still only got wristband 247. Here's a pic of the line in front of me...

GF surprised me today with VIP tickets to a beer festival Nov 7th at nationals stadium. Going to be some big name breweries there and list is still growing.
