Oktoberfest is my favorite seasonal beer. I've tried dozens of different ones over the years and I tried this one for the first time tonight. Absolutely delicious.

Why is that? I look forward to trying out some new stuff but I am new to this so that makes a difference.

Oktoberfest and pumpkin beers....it's still August, right?

It's 100 degrees outside. I'll stick to drinking IPAs and saisons right now

You don't have to drink them right now! I've just been buying them and putting them in my mini-fridge so that when the time comes I have them. Last year they came out so early that stores were running out of them by Halloween and they came out even earlier this year lol.

Yeah, better stock up on fall seasonal a while you can. Warlock is already sold out here.

Tapped into one bottle of these just so I can give you a review Jeff. It's very sweet but not really any sweeter than Pumking, but moreso than Warlock. It has good pumpkin flavor and spice and is pretty chocolatey too. I'll have no problem drinking the other 3 and would probably give it a 3.5

That's the beer that got me started into craft! Such a great brew! I got some in early August that had a BOD less than 2 weeks old. I drank all six very rapidly haha! I sure wish DFH distributed to KS or MO

Hell I can't even get it in WV. It probably has to do something with the ABC laws in those states like here in WV

Probably right! I usually get mine when I visit Texas or New Hampshire. Both of those states have good distribution

I finally got to try some offerings from Toppling Goliath out of Decorah, Iowa. We moved my youngest son off to college in Dubuque and while in that part of the state, we found a bar with some TGB on tap. I had the Golden Nugget (IPA) and the Smove Opferator (Brown Ale). I thought they did a really nice job with both. I hope to snag a few cases of TGB when we make a trip back up that way.

Trying this out tonight. I really like the taste but then again I don't really have any others to base it off of.

Little late but, idk if any of you watched Brew Dogs this wednesday, it was the Louisiana episode. It was done in collaboration with NOLA Brewing in New Orleans. Wednesday we went to the brewery to watch the show and we were able to drink what was left of the beer.

The beer was a Peterman, a dead style from the early 1900's in Belgium.

It was good, IMO. Slightly sour but not too much which was good because I am normally not a fan of sour beers.
