For those of y'all with boulevard distribution (fletch, Brandon, dogfish) grab a few bottles of this! Two jokers double witbier. It's a classic Belgian witbier; spice bill includes orange peel, coriander, and cardamom BUT, it's fermented with lactobacillus giving it a tangy citrus note. It's delicious! I love wits and I love sours. This is great. I've got two set back to see how the lacto adds character in the coming years.

The Sierra Nevada beer camp is coming to El Bait Shop on the 26th. Problem is, I am stupid and will be riding my bicycle all the way across Iowa and wont be finished in time to make it. I was crushed. But! My local shop got in 4 12 packs of the beer camp release and I grabbed them all. Ninkasi - Coffee Milk Stout, Firestone - Walker Hoppy Pilsner, New Glarus - English Style Bitter, Oskar Blues - Rye Bock, Ballast Point - India Pale Lager, Cigar City - Tropical Maibock, 3 Floyds - Pale Ale, Bell's - Imperial Dark Ale, Allagash - Belgian Style Pale Ale, Russian River - Belgian Style Blonde, Asheville Brewers - Alliance Scottish Ale, Victory Brewing - Altbier. This may just work out.

So this was glorious! One of the best stouts I've had in a while. I need to go back and get more before it's gone.

Spaghetti western; it's a collaboration brew between prairie and brew fist. Brew fist is an Italian craft brewery. Spaghetti western is an imperial stout aged on coffee, cocoa nibs, and of all things spaghetti. Evidently there's fermentable sugars in pasta. My wife and I tasted no pasta at all, but the beer had a great velvety mouthfeel, tons of rich coffee and chocolate flavors and just a little boozy at 8.7% ABV.

If any of y'all regulars are interested in it, let me know and I'll pick up a few extras for trading purposes. I should be going back to the store possibly tomorrow or Friday.

Apparently, Sierra Nevada has done this annually for a while but utilized home brewers in the past. This year they organized a collaboration with other craft breweries. I am anxious to dig in.

They take the camp on the road and tour the states. They are stopping in Des Moines and Chicago and ???? I'm sure you could find their route on their website. Maybe they are coming close to you.
