I had a bottle of that a few weeks ago Brandon and I thought it was real nice. Those citra hops are HUGE in that beer. One if my favorite hop varietals

Well guys, I'm 48 hours away from my NOCal trip. I plan on bringing back some brews, and drinking a lot of goodies while I'm there too. I fly into Oakland on Wednesday landing at 10:30. I've already got fresh pliny the elder reserved to be picked up that morning. The pliny truck arrives at 11:00-12:00 so I oughta be golden. That same store also carries supplication, damnation, sanctification, and blind pig. They also have a decent selection of bruery beers. Tart of darkness, saison rue, and something about sour rye I think. I'm also hitting up a bottle shop afterwards called beer revolution. I plan on looking for something exclusive here and also enjoying one of their 50 tap offerings while I browse. After that it's off to catos ale house for lunch and some more beers before leaving the city. Dogfish, Brandon, hooker, any of you guys after something from the west coast to do another trade? I can't guarantee I'm bringing home a ton, but definitely some. And hooker I know if I see beatification to buy it.

If anyone else has recommendations of where else I should browse out there feel free to let me know. I'm out there for a wedding so time is limited for beer nerding. Cheers!

Awesome. Super jealous. I had a buddy that just came back from San Fran and the wine region. He visited the Russian River brewery. Said it was heaven. He brought back a lot of goodies. Here is just a small sample of some of what he brought back.

I'd recommend all of these if you find them:

    Pliny
    Almanac Farmer's Reserve Blackberry
The Lost Abbey Red Poppy Ale
    Allagash Tiarna
The Lost Abbey Cuvee de Tomme

Hook those all look and sound delicious! I'm suprised allagash makes it all the way to Cali. I'm going to tour that brewery and maine beer company in June while on vacation with my wife.

I've heard and read great things about almanac's barrel beers. I'm really hoping to get my hands on some. I don't know much about lost abbey but they will be on my watch list now. There's a brewery called drakes that seems to be making Bay Area noise as well. I should be able to try a tap offering from them at beer revolution.

I'll keep you guys posted on all things glorious as I drink my way through Cali.

Go ahead and ship it, I'll be getting home Sunday early, and I bet it will arrive Monday. Things seem to take an extra day to get this far into the country.

I'm glad the bomb and Bible Belt arrived in order. Was the bubble wrap excessive haha?

I'll be coming home with some pliny

Sounds good! I'll alert my inlaws to keep an eye out Friday for a package at the house.

I brought home about 10 cases of 3-Floyds this weekend. A couple of cases of Zombie Dust, 4 cases of Gumballhead, the rest is Arctic Panzer Wolf and Dreadnaught IPA. They allow two cases per person per day and you get to buy two bombers for each case. But, we found a local liquor store that had a few of their brews also. We barely had room left to help pack my son home from college! lol He was so unimpressed. But, he just turned 21 this week, so he may learn to understand the importance of good beer soon.

I could be tempted to trade if interested.

LOL! I don't know about that, but I know my checking account was impressed with the amount of damage it caused. Looking forward to a trade with you.

Wow, not sure if it's because I'm on vacation now, or because this beer is actually that good but dang!!!! I'd pair this against FBS any day!
