Hi Brandon. Hooker got it right in my opinion too. ZD is very hard to beat. But, I do enjoy the Alpha King also. Nice to mix things up. I had a nice trip to El Bait Shop this Friday, both before and after the Ronnie Dunn/George Strait concert in Des Moines. After a Boulder Mojo Nitro tap we tried these. Both were great. I also killed a turkey with my bow that morning on my first outing this spring. Kind of a perfect day. The turkey was killed on my private ground where I let several low-life moochers hunt.

 

Good to see you dropping by here again fletch. That sounds like an awesome day! How did you like the even more Jesus? I just picked up Bible Belt from prairie which is a collaboration brew with evil twin. It's even more Jesus aged in oak with vanilla, cocoa nibs, and chilis.

Thanks man. I love the Evil Twin- Even More Jesus. VERY good. The Allagash was also nice. They will knock you on your butt though! Sounds like I would really enjoy the Bible Belt.

I boogied out of here for a while so I didn't end up imploding and getting booted for good. So many moronic posts to wade through. Not that I'm not also guilty. I really don't give a **** when someone is having a glass of water or eating a granola bar or picking a booger. One or two word posts just to post and add to the count also drive me nuts. Then we had kids even coming into the beer thread talking about sipping Daddy's cheap beer. I had all I could take. Inquiring minds want to know important crap about beer, not worry about watching children in the basement man-cave. I still kept my eye on you guys though. So, end of my sissy rant. Pass the fritos.

Friday truly was Good Friday. I started the day at 4:30am to go turkey hunting with zero scouting. Lucked onto a flock (8) of jakes and gobblers and killed a nice gobbler before 7am. Came home, cleaned the turkey. Then boiled out two deer skulls while cleaning the garage. Then cleaned up and a packed a bag and headed for Des Moines (1 hour drive). Next was a stop at El Bait Shop where my wife and I enjoyed some Boulder Mojo on nitro tap. Then we checked into the hotel and walked to the Ronnie Dunn/George Strait concert. I had won a sales contest and had corporate suite tickets with a buffet and all the Makers Mark I could stand. After the concert, we walked back to El Bait Shop where we enjoyed the Allagash and Evil Twin. Also, big event there for Nebraska Brewing that had put 5 of their beers on tap just that afternoon. Of course we had to try them all and I could not tell you one thing about any of them. We were way too far gone by then. lol So, we close down EBS and then walk back to the Hotel at 3am. Big day for an old guy. But damn near perfect.

 

Not too shabby. Nice hoppy rye.

I got your package today too hooker. Everything is in one piece but the growler definitely had a seal problem. It still has carination, I'll just have to drink it in the next day or two.

 

We got to work on another trade or something.. I need more Hop drop n roll!
