Let us know what you saw from your favorite team, and your opinion of some other games around the country

Alabama, played ALOT of players. I was there, and we were running out 3 or 4 guys a play, including O lineman etc...We scored quick to build a lead and then started playing for next week. Kent State is Saban's alma mater and he said all week he would not run it up. We were not crisp at all, Mcarron looked pretty good, but Simms held onto the ball way to long, and good teams will kill him right now. It was however his first college playing time. Richardson showed hesitation as the number 1 again. Worried that Ingram being gone may have a bigger impact than one would like.

Glad I am not a a barner, a fighting irishman, or a dawg this AM. Auburn came back, and Georgia just got stomped.

The Gators looked really, really sharp last night. I know it was just FAU, but the team was dripping with energy, played with discipline and played a clean game.

Brantley looked really confident and comfortable last night too, and I was happy for him that he seemed to be playing well. I'm still not sold on him yet. He threw two picks, neither were terrible throws, but a pick is a pick. I still get the uneasy feeling that Brantley is the type of guy who is happy and confident as long as things are going his way, but once he gets hit in the mouth, he'll return to the sulking, whiner like last year. I really hope I am wrong though, because I want him to finish his career on a strong note. Demps and Rainey proved again why they are the most electric backs in the country.

Florida's D is scary fast and athletic, but also very young in the secondary. Dominque Easley has an insanely quick first step, and has the talent to be All-SEC as does Jelani Jenkins. You can tell he just enjoys playing football because of the dance moves he routinely displayed at the line of scrimmage before the snap. I was bummed to hear that Sharrif Floyd was ruled ineligible before the start of the game, because he's drawn comparisons to Ndomakong (sp?) Suh and Nick Fairley. Hopefully he's not out too long.

All in all it was Florida Atlantic and UF dominated as they should, but there are still a few concerns (no power running game, Brantley's two picks, and the young secondary). But the Gators looked like a completely different team last night than the year prior, and I can't wait to watch them against Alabama in three weeks!

The Buckeyes rolled over Akron, but no surprise there. I was impresed with the D giving up only 90 yards and earning the shut-out. I think 5th senior QB Joe Bauserman was surprisingly sharp and efficient, as the Bucks racked up 517 yards of total offense. I really expected Braxton Miller to split time, but no need -I would have bet against that.
Other bright spots: TE Jake Stoneburner -3 TD's, the guy is just a beast... and RB Carlos Hyde, 19 carries for 93 yards. If he weren't sharing the carries with Smith, he'd be putting a lot of pressure on Boom to win his job back, after suspension.
All in all, I think we're right on target.

My observations from yesterday are Bama and LSU are good. Florida looks better than people thought, South Carolina is going to struggle, Georgia will be looking for a new coach and Tennessee needs to find a running game. It's going to be a long year for Notre Dame.

LSU still does not have a QB.

But that defense is pure nastiness.

Michigan defense still is bad with the front 4 and secondary.

I like what the offense is doing with Denard.

wisconsin completely stomped the rebels, but yes the defense could use some work, that would not have happened against a more quality team
Running game as usual was spectacular
Offense in general was very good, I definatly think it is going to be a good year.

UK WKU game was a battle between who has the worst QB in the nation on Thursday night.

It was hysterical watching the school I went to undergrad for (Who has still yet to beat a D 1-A team since converting from D 1-AA) actually compete with my favorite school who resides at the bottom of the barrel annually in the SEC....

That game was proof that the only sport anyone cares about in my home state is Basketball, and it isn't even close.

Nebraska has a lot of things to figure out. The offense looked bipolar, not much has changed. They'll score points but honestly a good defense will have little trouble shutting them down. The defense looked physical but gave up too many yards, our secondary is suspect in pass defense but their run support was solid. Not sure we are a top 10-15 team right now. Time will tell.

Wisconsin's offense reloaded again and looked outstanding. Russell Wilson is going to be such a huge weapon combined with the running game.

The defense was supposed to be better. But they looked worse. They miss JJ Watt immensely.

Lot of ND haters in here huh? Their fans have had a rough year the past few. I was impressed with the LSU defense. I guess I just wasn't expecting that. As stated by Hooker, "pure nastiness" and that is correct. Other than that, not much is too surprising. Yeah Georgia got pounded but Boise State can't win when it's truly on the line. All the other teams played gimme, warm up games.
I think this next week will show teams where they currently stand in the real world. Many teams that blew their opponent out would have struggled against a good team.
In all, I'm pumped for fall to get here. Good football and big bucks... God Bless America.

Boise State is capital T tough again this year with a dominating D-line, line-backing core and one of the best Quarterbacks in the nation. They get their big play wide out on the field next week and they will be able to stretch the defenses. They have two very solid backs. Their starting safety should be back too to help solidify that talented secondary. I really like the make-up of this team and wouldn't doubt it if they go undefeated. Win another BCS game as well. If Boise stays healthy, nobody is gonna want to play them on a neutral field. All the big boys have nothing to gain and BSU has nothing to lose. GO BRONCOS.. I hope they run the table and the dirty rotten :) BCS gives them a shot at the title. Kellen Moore and a no huddle offense is tough to deal with.
