Well I just got back from my honeymoon in Denver and Aspen. We had an incredible time. Ate some wonderful food, went on some great hikes, and really enjoyed our time in the mountains. I'm now a married man. We still don't have the professional pics from the wedding yet, hopefully we get them soon. Now a few pics from the honeymoon.
It's really incredible out there isn't it. Every year for work I have to go out in January. I get a day and half to explore, so I see a small bit a year at a time and it amazes me.
Great pics, Hooker.... and a beautiful bride! Congrats!! Aspen is an awesome idea for wedding/honeymoon. I might steal that for my next wife
Great pics! Looks like a great place to honeymoon. Cool bow tie,Orville Redenbacher would have been proud! :D
Congrats Hook. Looks like yall had a great time. What kind of fish is that in the last picture? Looks good...... Drink any local brews while you were up there? Oh, you still married out of your league
Thanks, we really did have a great time. The weather was hit or miss in the mountains, but we managed around it. Aspen is just gorgeous. Since we went during the offseason, a few of the restaurants were closed, and many of the shops closed at 6 pm, so I was little disappointed in that, but we always found something to do. That would be wild sturgeon with black summer truffles, leeks, and a celeriac puree. It was outstanding. Of course. We took a tour of the Aspen Brewery, which is owned by 3 guys in the their early 20s that started brewing in college. It's the only brewery in Aspen, so they hit a gold mine. They've only been open for 2 years and they are already having to move to a larger building due to demand. I sampled their IPA, brown ale, and porter, and all were solid beers. Their IPA was quite tasty. Also drank some Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout and the New Belgium Wit in Denver. All very good. I know this I'll go ahead and share a few more pics as well:
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL, Hook!!! .... the scenery and your bride ... Congrats, Bro and thanks for posting
