Have any of you guys been worried to put cameras out too early in the spring because the weather will wreck them by the end of summer? is the spring hard on cameras? Often we get to the end of the season and go check our cameras to find that some weren't working all along

I don't worry about them at all. I left mine (Coverts) out all winter long and they didn't skip a beat. I won't hesitate to leave them out this spring either. Also I'm still running on the same set of batteries I put in last June. :tu:

Some of mine are out 24/7/365. ALL of mine are out from April-December/Jan. I've only have 1 moisture problem and that was with my s600 homebrew seal. My two Coverts survived summer through this point being in the field the whole time.

I only pull mine out during modern gun season when the trespassing mouth breathers are out. Did have a Black 60 stolen about a month ago watching the gate to the farm. Had it about 20 feet high and can't believe someone actually spotted it.

mine stay out from Jan-Oct. I will likely have a few stay out all year on some water sets where humans will not interact with them, hopefully. And will have another few that i will take down for the summer becuase im not doing waders through the swamp when its 90 degrees and things with the fangs are out.

What do you use for decoy cameras? We have one camera we may set out as a dummy camera that no longer works but havent set it out yet.

You can put the cam in a spot for trespasser to find and have your other cam well hidden to catch them on film so you can take the evidence to the law.
Also you can put decoy cams up on mineral holes so deer get used to them being there, just changeout the decoy during the times you what to get pics.there deer get used to something being there also works for field cam set ups

Thanks for the offer Ultramax. I have a Stealth i590 that doesn't work and plan to put it up soon along with another working Bushnell or Covert cam.
