Instead of getting emotional maybe provide some evidence for your claims. I can't refute you if you provide something, as of now you've only provided false assumptions.
You swore to follow regulations when you enlisted, no further document is necessary to show that regulations are to be followed by military members. AR stands for Army Regulation, not Army Recommendation.
um I never said I wasn't going to follow it? What exactly are you trying to argue? I don't even know anymore. You were stating army regs superseded civilian code which is why the flag can be rolled in and get dirty in the uniform. you have no such legitimate basis to make that claim. so again what are you trying to argue?
There's nothing to refute, brother. I seriously doubt that it's written anywhere that Uniform Regulations "supercede" the flag code. Problem is, Uniform Regulations apply to military members. Violate those regulations and you WILL be held accountable. Violate the "flag code" and there is no established penalty and no entity that is charged with holding you accoutable.
Haha, yep. Sometimes when everyone is arguing with you, everyone else is not the problem....... I'm pretty sure he put me on ignore so I don't get the pleasure of arguing with him anymore
How was I a jackass in this conversation??? I did the even attack you I was simply asking for evidence, none of which you provided. Instead you tried to falsely present a statement as fact backed up by a document that didn't state what you wanted it to, then you get all mad and call me a jackass. I guess if you want to act like a child then you have the right to act as such. Throw a fit because the argument isn't going your way. I wasn't trying to argue that the flag shouldn't be worn, I am still trying to state that on the uniform it must be a decoration as it serves no tactical purpose, no other force has it other than army forces, it violates the flag code by the actions taken by the wearer of the uniform. that doesn't mean I'm for people stomping on the flag or burning it which is what some of you seem think I'm advocating. nor am I advocating for it to be taken off the uniform. Edit: Actually it can't even be a decoration since it would violate the flag code. The point more is that the us army violates the flag code imo yet Se get mad when others disrespect it.
yea I see what patriotism is, stifling people who don't agree with you and interpreting laws the way you want because that's the way you want it to be.
Oh my... yes I did and still am serving. I will hit 30 years in October. Surely you don't think anyone lives in Montgomery because they like it here? Thank you Johnny for your service. To answer your question T... I only really have an issue with those who don't care.
I am not sure how got your grand vision of patriotism from my post, but it had nothing to do with stifling you or interpreting anything... It was an observation base on the fact that you regularly parade your intelligence around the board as a badge of honor. You seem to be taking enjoyment in the fact that if you have the last word you win.. There are no winners when it comes to a discussion of opinions... My post was applauding you once again for your style and craftiness in taking what should be a civil discussion and pressing the envelope for evidence to support an opinion that you don't agree with.. Just so we are clear on what an opinion is: Webster's says--- a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter Everyone has one just like they have a butt hole.. does mean they all don't stink to some extent!
I wonder if those people wearing flags and chanting "USA" know that a lot of the players on the "USA" team are not Americans?
