    is important.

I was on another forum and I read that a hunter had lost his best friend of many years from fall. He also was the one that found him.

I truly hope and pray that everyone wears some "protection". You owe it to your Family AND friends.

Grat advise and with all the talk that is continuously going on about it I find it unbelievable that people still go up tree's without them.

I couldn't feel comfortable 20 feet up without one now.

    Very sad. :(

People fall from treestands/ladders/steps fairly often. It's amazing how many folks still think it won't happen to them.

Working for emergency rooms, I can tell you some of the folks who survive the falls have some pretty convincing injuries. Broken ankles where the leg bones, pushed by the hunters weight, drive through the flesh and into the dirt.... I see those in my work too much. Ick.

I can remember reading about a guy who fell and caught his screw-in tree step with his crotch. Just barely. When he got up off the ground, he felt his privates and realized that he had torn his scrotum wide open. Yeah, that even gives me the heebie-jeebies.

Wear your harness! (oh and watch that knife blade when you're cleaning your deer. That's another one I see a lot of)
