Is there anything to be learned from the wear marks on your tab? Or is it just a case of "it is what it is"?
Basically my middle finger area has the most wear, then index & none at all on my ring finger area. Odd thing about that is that when I shoot I develop a real bad callous on my ring finger, and it can get pretty sensitve if I haven't shot in a while.
If anything can be gained, I'll post a pic, if not oh well.

I can't remember but Arthur on HNI posted something on what percentages each finger should have on It. As for my 3 finger under tab, there gets to be a line on mine after a while that eventually gets wore from the string and the hair starts missing some. My ring finger too Is the one that gets sore also Ryan.

Can't tell ya. I get a callous on my middle finger, when I shoot a LOT. But, I think it has more to do with the thickness of your tab. I have 3 "seemingly" identical Bateman cordovan tabs. But, I can tell you whick one I have, when I put it on the string. The thicker one is my favorite. The thinnest one is my least favorite.

I don't do it......but I heard a really good tip, once. The guy said to release with your ring finger - first.....to initiate your release. Claims it's almost impossible to "pluck" the string, that way. Makes sense, to me.

    That's long-winded for....."I haven't a clue". I think it is what it is.
