I'm about to buy a Last Chance Archery EZ press that -- unless bow designers take a radical departure in the future from current design -- I fully expect to last me a lifetime.

My Lone Wolf Stands will last longer than I will...the straps will just need to be replaced a few times.

The only true lifetime purchases I've got so far are mostly for rifle hunting. The wool clothes I wear rifle hunting I should never have to replace, and I've got a pair of rifles that i hope last at least 2 generations.

I do have a lot of bowhunting gear that should last me for 10-20 years that I've invested in, but I don't consider a lot of it to be lifetime purchase.

I can't think of a single thing that won't get replaced or passed on.

I don't know, but it is possible to crap all over them.

Well since my wife lost her job, some of my things are going to have to last longer than they normally would. I hope my Reconyx never wears out. I think I'll be shooting my Bowtech Captain for a long time. I've got a couple of atv's I hope will last a long time. Probably the thing that will be affected most by her job loss is our vehicles. Won't be replacing them as often, so my truck better not misbehave too bad.

    Blessings.....Pastorjim

I have purchsed most things with an eye for the long haul excluding clothing and stuff I wanted to test out. I will have to get strings for bows, fletchings, new arrows, and, for the compounds, I may have to get cams at some time in the future. I even have BH's that can be re-sharpened and re-used for my lifetime (theoretically), I already lost one :( . I may try to by some "lifetime" clothing but, for the temps I normally hunt a lot, it has to be relatively lightweight and that does not lend itself to longevity.

I bought everything to do my own bow work and, while kind of expensive at first, that stuff will pay off exponentially as time goes on and it should not need to be replaced.

    ^This.

Plus my initiation fee for joining our hunting camp of 1200+ additional acres. Everything else will be replaced at some point along the line.

I forgot to mention tree stands. Between my brother and I we've got 10 hang on tree stands. All of which were built by my brother, myself, and my dad. Some of these stands are 25 years old and work just as good as the day we built them.

Good point on the press Greg. I'm actually in the process of building one right now. I got a set of blueprints from a guy to have the fingers machined on a CNC by a friend who works at a machine shop.

I built an Xpress a few years ago and it costs me a total of 120.00 for materials to build. It's nice, presses anything, but isn't as convenient as an EZ.

I am guessing that most everything will get replaced at some point, with the exception of a couple of my guns.

Probably my ATV. I don't ride it enough to ever need to replace it. My knives should last me, because I have enough of them.....lol. I had 3 hunting knives and my Gerber saw stolen from my truck this year........already replaced it with another Gerber Exchangeablade saw. Even my Lone Wolf sitnclimb............I generally sell it and then purchase another every 5 years or so.
