What else is new, that's all that little bastard has said since '07 and the last time before that was '99. Yes, I looked it up :D ( I also hear Phil is only 29% accurate, not a very trusting fellow)

Hey GMMAT, how do the deer react to the snow?

(oh, and call me a wuss, and I've lived in Minnesota all my life, but when the temps dip below 0, that's freakin cold)

Cold in the southeast is a very different cold than in the midwest. It can be 20 here and we would be bundled up just as much as you when it in the singles or below there. I went to South Dakota last year and it was in the teens and singles all week. This year I when I was in Ashville, North Caroina and it was in the low 30s. I was colder and bundled more in NC than I did in SD. Its all about humidity.

I have no idea how the deer react, here (in the snow). Not much experience (either of us).

I saw probably 10 or so on my only snow hunt of the season. Just didn't have any come close enough for a shot op.

Very true for me too. There a distinct difference between "it's cold out" and holy #@%& cold......:p:eek:. It doesn't really bother me until it starts hitting single digits. Then you have to plot your strategy to battle it lol. When it hovers around 0 or negative I tend to not try and be outside any longer than needed. The difference in 10 or 20 degrees of "coldness" is really just that..... a lot different.

Humidity plays a big role no doubt but it's been very wet here. We have had high humidity darn near all the time for the last couple years. Last summer/fall was nothing but fog from midnight until 6 - 7AM. We've have fog this winter. The last two harvests have been horrid... the crop doesn't dry standing. We know all about humidity.

Looking at 93 % humidity right now if my guage is right. Not many days we get below 85%.

I miss the low humidity especially in the summer. I hate hot muggy days. All it is good for is making you sweat and growing very mean, very big skeeters. LOL

Face it... we just tend to think it is funny when the warmer areas of the country say it is cold and talk wind chill when it is no wheres near the zero mark. :) Just as you guys think it is funny when we think 85 degrees is a heat way. Throw in humidity and we are melting. :(

We think it is funny when you guys think snow is neat but want it gone 3 days later. We get the crap for 5 - 6 months. There is nothing neat about it other then the skeeters ARE GONE!! We tease just because we have a better sense of humor then you guys... cause we need it to stay sane in the winter months... plus we are stuck with Minnesotans for neighbors. You should hear what we say about them !!! LOL :)

Do you guys know why ND is so windy ??

Because Montana blows and Minnesota sucks.

We all know if you stick your tongue on a metal pole when it is very cold... it will freeze to it. What we don't understand... why are Minnesotans licking the pole in the first place?? :)

Here in FL during the summer its in the 90% like every day at 95-98 deg high temp. In the winter our cold days are actually very dry. We will occationally have a cold wet day like the one that we had right after the new year and it actually sleeted and snowed a little here:D That was cool!! But I was comparing SD to North Carolina. And it was snowy and cold in NC and after tim explaned it, I remembered in SD it was farily dry.

Jeff we got the same storms as you. Today as a matter of fact we are supposed to get up to 27 inchs of the crap. Blizzard conditions are posted from 4 pm today till 7pm tomorrow (Sat the 6th). You should be getting the same storm as my nephew says schools are closed before it even starts down there.

We've got probably 2-3" here, and it's still snowing. I don't expect it to stick around long. I'm actually taking my ATV over to get the plow put on...in a little while.

Rick.....Yep. 90% chance of winter weather (forecast), and they closed schools. But, they were only open one day this week (Thursday). And....every day they were out....was warranted. The roads here were bad for nearly a week.

That's crazy. You got snow, and we got rain... It's not that far away though... I'm only about an hour and 15 mins from you...

PS, as far as the schools, they were on a 2 hr. delay today, so the didn't even get a full two days this week. lol.

Right now about 9 inches of new stuff and coming down at the rate of up to 3 inches an hour till sunrise than another 6-8 inches during the day Sat before finally ending Sat evening with a total accumulation of 25-30 inches. This really sucks.

For the third weekend in a row now, here in northwest kentucky, we've had 3-5 inches...now why couldn't we have this back in November when I was able to hunt??
Good thing I like the snow.
