If so, please keep a friend of mine in your prayers. I'm not sure if ya'll remember me posting about a friend of mind who owns a Hoyt shop. I used to shoot for him and he's the guy I went elk hunting with out in WY and we both came home with bulls. We've spent a lot of time together and he's taught me so much. Yesterday he was on his motorcycle and heading toward a 3D shoot. (I'm sure his bow was strapped to his back) A elderly women pulled out in front of him and they collided. Barry is a great guy and an incredible shooter. He was life flighted to a nearby emergency hospital and is in critical condition. He's traveled the world bowhunting and his love of the sport is incredible. Word is he as facial damage as well as brain damage. We all know the power of prayer. Be good to each other, tomorrow is a long way aways. Thanks.
Very sad, Rob. I hope everything goes well for him and his family/friends. Prayers sent for a speedy and complete recovery.
Sent from here too Rob. And while we're at it. My good friend Bob, the taxidermist, lost his dad to a sudden illness last week. Keep his family on your list as well.
Rob, I hope the Lord will lay his hand on Barry and his doctors and guide them towards his recovery. Having been through this with my cousin nearly just over 16yrs ago, it's a TOUGH thing for the rider and the family. Just try to keep in mind when you visit that he may be hearing what you say and talk to him not about him, MANY of my patients I've cared for remember hearing people talk about them, but rarely TO them. He's lucky to have a GREAT GUY like you as a friend. God Bless, him, his family and friends during their time of need.
Thanks guys. I know it's redundant but perhaps this will show any guest not familiar with everyone what a great community a place like Bowhunting.com can be. You guys are a class act and I truly appreciate your personal time. I haven't heard any new news today but when I do, I'll update. Thank you.
Rob...the last line of your original post is all but terribly true. I lost my cousin to a four-wheeling accident...I was much younger back then and I didn't realize how precious today is. I still wish he was alive today, I think we would have gotten closer as I grew up. I am sending prayers....God is big and in control of the situation. Prayer is powerful, miracles do happen.
sorry to hear that, u can never go wrong asking for the Lord's intervention. If only we asked more often for his blessings. I hope and pray that your friend comes out of it okay. If there are enough prayers & he has faith, he'll be healed.
