I am currently shooting a WB. I am thinking about switching to the NAP Apache Fallaway, is it worth the change, I target shoot and hunt.
I have both on various bows and to tell you the truth, I'm just as accurate with the WB and its a much simpler setup, especially for hunting. I think the drop aways are more forgiving of poor follow through. This is always a heated discussion and like so many things, a matter of personal preference. I would not switch out my bows with WB's for a drop away but that's just me.
Also switched this year. Hi Scott, I switched from a WB to an Apache drop away rest. I was convinced to switch because of the 'damage' done to arrow fletchings, something that really hadn't been an issue but I switched anyway. I really haven't noticed a great deal of difference between the two in terms of accuracy/forgiveness. The biggest drawback I had to the new rest is the noise during any movement in the stand or on letdown. The arrow would clank around and was very frustrating. If you do decide to switch, go to a craft store and get some self adhesive felt for the area around the riser. It will make a huge difference in terms of sound and cost about $0.50.
I dont think you could go wrong either way. Personally, I have had two QADs (Hunter and HDX) and they have both been flawless!
